I feel the rise is excessive, ... and for the return on it, it's hardly worth the bother or the contempt of visiting fans.

Although initially I thought charging £25 was a good idea, on reflection it does seem like a step too far and is only going to put fans off coming....

So in a nutshell just because everything else has gone up you can't put the gate prices up... Oh and you're forgetting to factor in the FACT that you will only be paying £4.32 to watch pools at home which would more than offset a £5 price hike at an away ground..

Come on Jonny if you're going to go to a match an extra £5 is not going to stop you!

The price does stop people from going. I know of at least 3 people who are now going to MK because of The Sun deal and MK are only charging £20 without tokens.

No one is saying that the gate prices can't go up but it shouldn't be £25. I'm sure Mr Creasote was one of the people (along with me) who complained when Pools started to charge £20 a seat...

I think all that needs to be said has been said by others.

Nothing new to add to the debate personally, but I noticed that the BBC has done a survey of the cheapest and most expensive matchday experiences.

We're third most expensive in League 1, however they've used the £20 price for standing, rather than the £25 seating price.

Can you dig out the one about us reaching a certain amount of points, I think the main protaganist was Ronaldo and another person?

Suprised no mention of our £100 ticket offer in this report from BBC but does mention St Mirren offering free beans with pies and Preston offering 25% off:

I emailed them this morning @6:10, as did a few others, not newsworthy enough, or so it seems

Ultimately I think the price issue is a case of you can't have it both ways. If we want affordable football for the people of Hartlepool then visiting prices have to go up. Like many I don't feel comfortable with us being the joint most expensive to watch in the league but if it has to come down to a choice between charging people who live in the town or a city of a football club over the odds or the visiting supporters I'd rather it be the visiting fans.

Just block him like I've done. I only see he exists when others quote him.

Best thing I ever did. Most people on here actually add something to the debates but TA just sits in the background, sniping at people and stirring things up without ever adding anything of his own.

Am sure if he put his mind to it he could be a good poster again but he seems to have adopted this persona of being a troublesome little teenager that just wants to annoy everyone. A shame really.

I've seen he has replied to this and it's no doubt a swipe at me....luckily I don't have to read it :coool:

Its costs 19 euros to get into the cheap seats at Barcelona.
Travel expenses will bump the cost up a bit like.

I've posted elsewhere and I won't repeat meself but just four things you might buy on matchday is not a representative sample. It's too simplistic. Ticket yeah, the rest are maybe's.

At least people at Pools buy tickets though, eh, Mr 5??
