Yes the name of the club has changed previously but it has never led to us being expelled and having to form a new different club to start 4 divisions below where we are.
For me "New Pools" won't replace Pools and I won't be the only one with the same mindset.
Changing name is nothing like starting afresh, so hard to spot any irony because there is none.

No there are bound to be more than one fussy buggers. Doesn't make it make any more sense.

I like the people who say they wouldn’t watch a Pools team that have to start again but then say they’ll go and watch Spenny or someone like that instead. Yeah, makes sense! Ha.
Heard that surprisingly often!

Some might choose to watch a much lower standard of football, it happens at almost every relegated club. Our crowds are down since we dropped a level, they'll drop again if we dropped another level and more so if we dropped 4 levels. Might not make sense to some, but that's the reality.

Well so far the bunker verdict is that in the event we have to start again (looking thankfully unlikely), the only bunkerite we would lose is you. I don't see that as the end of the world.

Incidentally, RS can continue as long as he wants but without subsidising the club. He can just continue to pay his own debt off until there’s nothing left. Without a takeover I expect next season to be the direst in our history.

I have brought his name up a few times, 65 years old now, since leaving Pools he got sacked from his next 4 managerial positions though.

Every manager in the game gets ‘sacked’ several times in their career.

People seem to forget that, even DC had been sacked before he came to us.
A bigger worry around Danny would be how long he's been out of the game? Where's he been recently?
I'm still amazed that with the players we've had this season and the overall quality of the division that we haven't managed to achieve a top 7 position!

Half of the people on here don't even go now , I can't see them turning out for games 4 or 5 levels below this one and PTID wouldn't be the only loss, I can barely tolerate this league, would maybe just tolerate NLN but below that I'd be out I'm afraid. It's not just the standard of football, it's the state of some of the clubs we have to play at. I pick and choose which away games I go to now because some of these 'stadiums' are ridiculous, it's depressing enough in this division.

the cirmustances over the last few seasons might have resulted in that number. getting their home back will have caused that and even we would get a full house after a succesful season after being pushed out of the vic to somewhere miles away.
