I had a listen just now. Higgy says "categorically" that nobody at Pools is on £2k or 3k a week and he'd be surprised if anyone is on a thousand a week. You have to assume he's been talking to some of the players as he's definitely not on good terms with the chairman these days! BTW, there's a legitimate way some of last season's signings could be on lower money - a clause in their contracts about the consequences of relegation out of the EFL.
