You are missing the point totally, if banks want to be rid of customers that’s their choice. What you do is do it on the financial criteria alone except if your name is …A Hitler or J Stalin… which ain’t too good.
But a persons politics or preferences if legal are of no business of the bank so why did they mention them? They created this mess.

This isn’t about Farage …it’s about banks getting involved in things that are none of their business.

Not missed the point Farage was offered what he considered a lesser account and didn’t like it, what my point is people are being frightened into believing it’s them next if they say the wrong thing not the case clearly. If it’s found to be solely on his political stance then I think it’s wrong but banks do have to be constantly aware of money laundering fraud etc.

You mention in your last line about money laundering, fraud etc…fair enough, but if he’d been breaking the law he’d have been out in a flash and if it’s based on purely financial business that’s Farages problem.
The point is, for the company to pass comment on things out of their remit is out of order and would inevitably be seized upon….Naivety of the first order.
With cross party condemnation you know you’ve cocked, up especially with someone as Marmite as Farage.
Anyway I’m bored now

again its not just farage this has happened to. a few others including a cleric have come out since the story broke. if this had happened to someone deemed from a minority group or an eco protester the lefties would have been all over it the second it came out. farage is hated by them and would rather he went away never to be heard of again with as little publicity as possible.

To paraphrase the words of Martin Niermoller…

First they came for the greedy, privileged lying twats…and I did not speak out because I’m not a greedy, privileged, lying, twat.
Then they came for the non conformers, the disrupters, the deniers, ….and again I did not speak out because I’m not a non conformed, disrupter or denier.
Then they came for the questioners, the doubters, the challengers,……. but I did nothing because I’m not a questioner, a doubter or challenger

Then finally they came for me……and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Hogarth’s print of Gin Lane in 1751 highlighted the debauchery and perils of the stuff in the ‘Gin Craze’….nots new under the sun.
