Definitely will go down as a legend.

Before kick off he was stood deep in conversation with Alex Chandy on the pitch, after the game outside the ground he was having a good conversation with Dan Kemps Dad. Seems like a very approachable bloke.

Whoa… it’s looking good, but we need to cross our fingers ….and toes….it’s a rough sea we’re in and we ain’t in harbour yet, but we can see it on the horizon.

Have been looking at the tables and we are 10th in the division for goals scored but with the most conceded . they must stop the opposition getting so many shots t goal because if they go in we could be on the end of a hammering which could be avoided Grimsby had 10 more shots than us obviously not all on target . Please watch out giving too many free kicks or corners to Stevenage as both central defenders have scored 10 goals. Enough warnings of doom well done lads now keep the faith and lets get up the league. NEVER SAY DIE.

The commentators said he was clutching his arms as the teams left the field at half time.

A clinical display from Pools it was. Either side of half time Grimsby had us penned in and we were struggling. The introduction of McDonald changed the game, he is a very good ball carrier and can go outside and in. Very much Nathan Thomas mould, just needs a goal. For now though, I’d leave him as an impact sub from 60 mins.

Kemp has clearly been coached into picking up a pocket at the back and middle of the box, as he frequented it for two goals and also one other chance, Grimsby didn’t pick him up. Aside the obvious choice for man of the match in Kemp, you’d have been hard pressed for who came second out of the rest, that’s how good an away display that really was.

Askey has done what Curle wanted in making us hard to beat (see draws against Orient, Northampton etc) but also made us more than competitive in beating teams that are about our level (Swindon, Grimsby). This certainly isn’t a relegation team now, likely a mid to lower mid table League 2 side. Just need to achieve something pretty remarkable to remain in the division for next season.

that shows he has the ability to work on a tight budget and get the best from average players. his players never know when to give up as anyone who can remember macclesfield at the vic the season they got promoted. one nil down with a few minutes left and they managed to beat us by looking bang average all the game.
