Excellent win. Hopefully we can get a couple more quality players in to replace this week's outgoings, then at least have a chance of staying up.

I predict two of Harrogate, Crawley, Rochdale and Pools for the drop (ideally the first two)

Thought we were shaky in first half, not fully convinced Hartley should be starting in front of menayse
Carlisle will be a big ask but Dolan, pruti and dodds all look capable at this level

V surprised dodds was allowed to leave permanently, Middlesbrough must have some
Very good players in their academy

Eddie Kyle made a good point; the difference is that we have three leaders on the pitch where previously there weren’t any.

If you think February is bad have a look at March - we definitely need another win next Saturday…

What about on Tuesday at Carlisle? I dont know about the weather but if it goes ahead it looks like a pretty tough fixture. They are promotion contenders and have scored plenty of goals this season. A point from this game would be a miracle.

Featherstone didn't do a lot today, I'd like to see Sylla in for him v Carlisle, a bit more height and work rate.

Over 4,000 Poolies at the game today so I can't be the only optimist. Our best chance of staying up is to make the Vic a fortress so it was great to have the ground rocking again. Should be some atmosphere for the Colchester game.

Raj's programme notes made interesting reading. Says Pools are in for "four top strikers. Two from League One and two from League Two." and finishes with "I sincerely hope one or even two of these signings come off and I can prove all these doubters wrong." Then I was listening to Keith Curle on the drive home and he reckons he has all the financial backing he needs and Pools could make 3 or 4 more new signings by Tuesday! Sounds like the pair of them are smoking some good stuff together, but it's proper fighting talk.

The first, whilst clumsy definitely endangered the player. Studs made contact with chin. As clear a red as you will see.

Great win. A team with a spine now and experienced. Dodds outstanding.

Such a contrasting feeling to last Saturday. Lots of positive remarks from people who saw the game. Cant remember the last time we won at home and kept a clean sheet. I am guessing it was last season.

I have a suspicion that Armstrong may be one of the L2 players.

It’s like a lumpy North Sea crossing, you’re there for the voyage, you just hang on and hope you get there in the end….there are no other options.

same here and always take his programme notes as one of the brothers grimms fairy tales telling fans what they want to hear. talk is cheap, lets see if he can back it up.

true, the away form will not keep is up. 7 more wins at the vic and the odd point away may see us safe. its home draws that could scupper us, and look at the championship table where blackburn have lost the same number of games as blackpool where the latter are in the relagation spots and the other the play offs.

Does that keep us on track for the play offs.
 bbolt

As for Raj having a go at the doubters.
My reply to You is.

If it is Armstrong, Then its safe to say the clubs have agreed a fee otherwise we would have been knocked back.
That goes for any we are allowed to talk to, I would think.

if true they must be in deep shit selling a goalscorer to another relegation contender at this time of the season. if it was the other way round we,d rightfully be in uproar about it.
