Do we shut up all hospitality venues now? or do we wait until the New Year?..it's all on your shoulders.YES or NO?

a lot depends on how much you personally use them or taking flights abroad. for me the amount i spend on the first is very little and the second zero. looking at things from the hospitality angle only that this is 4 weeks where they make a big percentage of their profits. if many do close with their workers on the dole then its no worse than industries in the past where many could not have cared less about them. industrial north of england comes readily to mind.

Just read this.......

How effective is Astrazeneca against Omicron?
If you had an Astrazeneca jab six months ago, the vaccine’s effectiveness against a symptomatic Omicron infection is close to zero, according to the UKHSA.

However if your first two jabs were Astrazeneca, you can have a Pfizer booster jab, after which you should have 70 percent vaccine effectiveness against becoming ill with symptoms.

I understand the Moderna works in the same way as Pfizer to hopefully it should give 70% too but no data is yet available.

Really pleased i got my booster a few weeks ago!!!!

I think a quiet lunch for four as opposed to a Bacchanalian orgy in the Sodom and Gomorrah Arms complete with naked women and lewd novelty acts with a variety of kitchen utensils and air powered tools is a fairly safe bet still.

Probably some conspiracy theory, Luddite, flat earth, rent a brain, fuckwit ‘exercising his right’ to debate.
How come all the people who say the jab can affect you and refuse to have it, act like they actually have been injected with something and affected them in the head?

It was interesting to see some examples of who voted last night on plan B.

For - Johnson, Starmer and Rees Mogg

Against - Corbyn, Abbott and Duncan-Smith

Jill Mortimer - no vote recorded.

Yes i think she said she could not support the entirety of the plan so what she did was a good way of not upsetting too many people
I just wonder if she was in Parliament, at home in Thirsk or in Hartlepool?

Mrs Mortimer has now said: “I couldn’t vote on Tuesday as I was fulfilling a family commitment arranged nearly two years ago for which I applied to be slipped the day after my election."

if you intend to do something you might as well do it today. at least that way there will be many people throught the country with a big smile on their faces as its a good excuse to tell the in laws not to come around again and really make the day a merry and happy christmas. christmas is or it was a big day for the kids but over the years the whole thing has been blown out of proportion where for many the kids seem to be the least thing on their minds.

If this had not been the week leading up to xmas the regulations would have been toughened up already?
So are extra people going to get ill, hospitalised and die just because of this gluttonous commercial even?
Of course its politically unacceptable to "cancel" xmas but................

Merry christmas everyone have a great time........... :? :text-merryxmas: :obscene-drinkingcheers: :obscene-drinkingchug:

We had a Christmas without hosting. No worrying about which parent would eat what or what health conditions they had or what they would or could not do. It was great. We got to do what we wanted, at last. Difficult to go back from that this year.

That's because they can't make their mind up which opinion they should have.
When the big enquiry takes place I hope somebody evaluates how many deaths they were accountable for with their scaremongering, selective reporting, opinions etc.

I’ve come to despise the MSM, they’re just a bunch of stirrers massaging their own ego’s and ‘accentuating the negative’. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t with them, they build things up to knock them down, like infantile bullies in a nursery.

Yep. Herculean efforts by people working their knackers off and the emphasis from the media is on who they can catch out.
It's a good job the general public have their priorities firmly in place and are showing which news is important.
Our Lass said they had a "do" last Christmas at work but they were all socially distancing whilst consuming food and drink they had brought in themselves, and whilst wearing the usual silly hats. I wonder how many "do's" like that took place in newspaper buildings and the BBC. Needless to say none of that will come to light.
She said the only difference to any other lunchtime was that they had a glass of wine, instead of the usual hot or cold soft drink.
It has been suggested to me that all this whistle blowing is the work of Dominic Cummings and surprisingly Mrs May.
Just in the interest of balanced news we have just completed a £10.4 billion trade deal with Australia and no mention of mince pies.

funny how in the old days of 50 years plus ago there were never office parties. you either never bothered or went out on the piss at dinner time with a grope of the married receptionist who you have fancied for months before. all the work was rushed through before dinner time but nothing ever official was organised apart from the early finish.

It's all just a government/medical experts hoax according to most of their toxic comments sections. You'd be outnumbered 10 to 1 on any health issues being raised i'm afraid.

Well.....I’ve got no plans. So feet up and a good film...or book.

You're not up for a dip in the sea at seaton carew on Boxing Day then snowy? sctatchinghead

Every morning at sunrise I go down to Seaton with Rat Boy and we gaze in wonder at the group of ‘dippers’ in their huge padded coats heading towards the sea to ‘enjoy’ the ‘benefits’ of immersing your body into the welcoming embrace of the frigid North Sea.
We look at each other, shake our heads and I’ll swear the buggers rolling his eyes.
A long time ago, my instructor told me the seas is for going on. Good advice.

Boxing Day.... eating, reading and exercising rat boy.

Why would they have a ‘hoax’.... I bet the bulging eye brigade think the moon landings were a hoax and the Holocaust just misunderstood.

funny how in the old days of 50 years plus ago there were never office parties. you either never bothered or went out on the piss at dinner time with a grope of the married receptionist who you have fancied for months before. all the work was rushed through before dinner time but nothing ever official was organised apart from the early finish.

I couldn’t imagine anything worse..... hanging about drinking in work when you could be home with the kids enjoying Xmas.

I reckon the MSM are all Lib Dem’s...they’ve hammered the Labour Party into oblivion and now they’re chipping away with pneumatic drills at the Tory’s.
Then the Lib Dem’s will frogmarch us back into the EU, orgasm’s all round in the MSM.
