No but your discussion style is aggressive especially when it comes to disagreement. Its not out of place on here but regardless of the subject, its only really conducive to agreement, not debate. Caring about life and death is not exclusive to people holding your opinion set.

I dont know enough about how care homes work and how they dealt with other viruses that threatened the vulnerable before CV-19 came along.

I am not sure how asking valid questions that need to be asked is being aggressive. It’s pretty tiring to put across points to people who ether just dismiss them out of hand without any reasoning or evidence or just seem to completely miss the points you are trying to make.

Thousands are dying in care homes, thousands of ‘extra’ deaths are happening. I am just adding two and two together here.

The NHS hasn't reached capacity
The nightingale hospitals are almost empty.
The government policy was to keep the elderly out of ICU. TO KEEP THE NHS UNDER CAPACITY.
Thousands are dying in care homes of Covid 19 and not being taken to hospital when very ill.

Do the maths and discuss.

The 'tone' in general on here is a lot different to boards around the country. The admin says he wants that to change. Everyone must do their bit, both the winders (I get it) and the wound. That wont happen if, as I've seen' people keep harking back to historic perceived injustices like my ex-wife.

Or you get another board or another admin. Then its your board your way. People can either take it or leave it. Happy days

There is lots of evidence to say that comparing states won't be possible until later. Its too complicated. I don't think we will come out of this having performed the best but I don't know what additional or unusual challenges this threw at us as a country. There's some BBC stuff which explains how difficult it is to judge. There is no smoking gun yet. Doesn't mean it's not coming.

Sorry but that’s an incredibly naive and patronising tone.

I am not being abusive or confrontational towards other users of this forum so I don’t believe I am breaking the rules in any way, I am simply questioning what is going on.

You are effectively telling me to go and post on another board (my own) if I want to say the things I am saying. But I’m the one in the wrong here?

Everyone is entitled to ask any question they like but if the questions are asked on here, you don't get answers, you get opinion and that opinion is only what it is....opinion.
Whereas everybody is entitled to an opinion, they are not entitled to agreement of their opinion by everyone else.
This board, and I include everyone who has taken part, is further proof that debating political subjects just causes friction.
There are no winners just losers.
I'm not saying politics shouldn't be discussed, I am saying it shouldn't be discussed when all that happens is the participants fall out with each other because neither side is prepared to respect any view other than their own.
We have asked for change and a return to a modicum of respect. Each one of us must ask ourselves are we playing our part honestly to achieve that objective.
Maybe we should have a sub forum where all things political can be discussed and all those wanting to take part can slag each other off to their heart's content, with the proviso that if disrespect spills over onto the main board it is frowned upon.

Right? Wrong? Does it matter? What is important is the board is bigger than whether you or I are right or wrong.
The hard fact is, unless we sort it out, and quickly, none of us will have a board to be right or wrong on. In that case we will all have to go and post on another board.

At the daily briefing just now, Matt Handjob announced that increases in testing capability mean we can now test 108,000 a day. But on Friday gone, he announced that 122,000 tests had been done on Thursday of that week. Hmmm !!! sctatchinghead

He was talking about physical tests at a test centre Ron not including postal tests. But then you knew that.
