He may think he is too good for the Premier League, but when you only play 20 games a season , does it really matter?.

I just thought I'd chart the career 'highlights' of Andrew Davies for the rest of his life, in this here thread. You know, for posterity.

What has happened with Davies should really make Craig Hignett think twice about signing veterans - not that Davies would necessarily have suffered a similar break if he'd stayed at the Vic, but he was already shaping up as a 'play two or three games, then miss two or three' type of player.

Hope the Mail is right to say the manager has ended his interest with this story too:

We have been linked with him for about 5 seasons now.

34 now, obviously is becoming somewhat injury prone and this doesn't paint a good picture about his attitude. Shame really, in the games I saw him at Vic he looked decent.

Has anyone stopped for a second and thought about what his personal issues might actually be?

I doubt they worthy of laughing emojis on a public forum either way, and I know for fact they aren’t.

If that’s the case these issues aren’t public and it would be wrong to assume he had them. Obviously if you know otherwise that’s different but no one else does.

It's as if staying in the North East would have been a good idea after all.

His departure from Pools was bizarre, to slag off the level of football was just disrespectful to the club and his old team mates. If somebody I worked with left and then publicly slated the level of the company I work for, I'd treat them with the respect I treat Andrew Davies. I'm not bringing any other circumstances into this, he slagged off the club and the football at this level, there are thousands of players who would love to be playing professional National League. Additionally, if he'd got his head down, he could have helped get us out of this league, instead of running back up to Scotland because his mate got the sack.
