What if your landlord only rented you the land that the fixtures and fitting sat on?

I’ve quite possibly got this wrong but if there is a good chance of us losing the stands for scrap if liquidated, why do you think a Phoenix club is the best option? Just a question not trying to be clever (cos I’m not!)

You will still have the land and the terrracing. You can knock up some stands like we have at Darlo for a lot less than paying Sage £1.8m.
As has been mentioned elsewhere, you have a fan who works in the portable building trade too. I'm sure he can get a good deal for the club on some basic facilities.

There's not a lot of value in scrapping the stands, the cost of removal would probably be more than the return then you need to get rid of hundreds of tonnes of concrete. It would make zero sense.

I'm sure the liquidator of Northwich Victoria kept their stands in place until FC United came along and bought them.
They could also possibly stop you using them if they are assets of a liquidated club. Unless you buy them of course.

The new club needs to be an improvement on the last. NO PORTAKABINS ! just bricks and mortar. If we are going to do something, lets do it right, this time :angry-screaming:

Can't we just ask Angela Merkel to send another Zeppelin over to bomb the stand and put up a temporary one that lasts for 80 years or so ...

So The Trust or whoever would therefore need to have some money put aside to buy the stuff from Sage and to have an approximation of the value of the stuff. Is anything happening about that, e.g. talking to a company about a long term sponsorship deal for a stand that they pay to rescue from the scrap man?

How can we be talking to potential sponsors when we have no idea what is going to happen?

We need a decision to be made and then take action on all the suggestions fans have been emailing, posting, texting
etc, we can`t approach somebody about sponsorship when we have no say in matters.

It’s called contingency John. It’s not as if the businesses in the town don’t know the situation.

Wouldn't they just burn the metal and leave a metal stump protruding from the concrete, therefore leaving a potential health and safety risk for any new owners? that would then eventually either have to be removed or cordoned off.

Cost of removal. Hundreds of thousands.

Value of items removed...hundreds of pounds!

Similar to the fund raising John, until people have more info which we can`t give as yet, we have scores of people who have intimated help of money, time, advice but not until there is clarity.

There is absolutely nothing stopping the following conversation from taking place right now.

Hello Niramax, you know how you currently sponsor a stand at Pools, in the event of a liquidation of the current club and a new club taking over the ground would you be prepared to continue your sponsorship and if necessary make an upfront payment of x to cover y year’s sponsorship in order to allow the new club to purchase the stand from the liquidator?

Yes, in that scenario we would be interested to see if we could come to some agreement on confirmation of the figures.

Thank you, we all sincerely hope that it doesn’t come to that but it’s goid to know that you would be interested should the worst happen.

I don’t think your estimates are very accurate.
