I thought we had spent most of the last 108 years in the football equivalent of oblivion. Them you find a whole multi-storey car park of hell opens up below you.

They could always have a direct debit with HMRC if it's gonna be on a regular basis.

Id like to apologise to hignett for wanting him out. It sounds like we have way more important things going on than losing a few games. This millhouse master plan might fool a few. Not me im afraid and most others. I will be surprised if thiers a jcb seen around the area in the next ten years, let alone hotels and flats.

It'll be about as successful as the church street regeneration project.

I remember George Houghton raving on about having hotels, pubs and sports facilities outside the arena and he even got planning permission for most of it. Then it all went quiet and within months we were in administration and because the stadium had been placed in a separate company to the footballing side of things, we had no assets other than a few players and became something that wouldn't attract any serious investment.
Mind you it turned out good in the end, wouldn't swap the last few years for anything.

Not been an easy ride, paying off around £400k of debt (even though some say we aren't the same club but had to pay off that debt anyway!!) and being the team everyone wanted to beat, including the BBC and Nevilles love child Salford.
The ground we are moving to is very basic but it gets us back home and back in the tin shed which looks as good as new. We are in control over our own destiny and even if we have to stay in the Conference North another year or two, its still been worth it.

I suspect the time will come in the not too distant when plenty round these parts will envy you.

If worst case scenario happens (and the really hard work begins then), you'll be thanking your lucky stars that the council never sold off the stadium land. You'll have a good starting point at least on that score.
