Players Make Poolie Pupils' Day

The pupils attending Playing for Success were given a double treat last week when they got the chance to work as reporters and interview members of the First Team squad.

The Year 6 pupils were able to build up a profile of their HUFC heroes through a range of carefully thought out questions.

Michael Nelson and Ben Clark were happy to tell all to the children from St Cuthbert's RC Primary whilst the boys and girls from Brougham and Fens Primary Schools gained an insight into the careers of rising stars, Michael Rae and Martin Young.

David Foley and Scott Allison gave their responses to the Hart Primary pupils. The older students from Year 8 at St Hild's School took a different approach and engaged Nelson and Clark in a post-match style interview which they also filmed to add into their own video work.

Manor College students also filmed their interviews with Foley and Allison. All the interviews took place in the media room at Victoria Park to create that authentic feel for the youngsters.

Godwin Antwi also popped into the classroom to be interviewed by the pupils of St Aidan's School.

Thank you to all the players for the time they gave to our students.When asked about the ten weeks spent at the Pools Study Support Centre, pupils consistently tell us that meeting the players was the highlight.
