I need a new key for my car

I have an old car which I am going to flog on ebay, but the key is bent and about to snap

When I get a new one, what do I need, the log book I should imagine, is there anything else needed?

Easiest way is at a car boot, they don't nomally ask for log books. Same goes for number plates.

Officially you usually need the log book and ID. If its a needs a transponder (a chip in the key)then its gotta be a dealer.

Arse!, its got a transponder, which is also fooked!, the doors don't have keyholes neither

you dont need any id to get a car key cut.
there is a place on north road darlow who are very good

Good info Mr bus but in this instance he needs the key coding, that can only be done by the dealer usually.

used to be the case but some locksmiths can now do them
