Anyone remember that librarian in the reference library back in the late 70's and early 80's?

Good looking in a bookish sort of way, Great figure, hair tied up in a bun and the obligatory glasses. You just know whats coming next therethere

i always go to the library whats the point in buying books when you can visit the library, whats the name of the oldest library in the world in oxford as i walked past it the other day but cant remember its name. also i dont think i am allowed in as you have to be a student

that'll be the bodleian? (see it pays to read morse novels)
we use our libraries loads.Devon county council tried to close about 30 rural libraries last year to save money including a couple of mobile ones and there was,rightly uproar,the main one at exeter does a load of gig type things, john cooper clarke's on there next month and seen john hegley and roger mcgough and the like there recently.

thats the one cheers there is also uproar in oxford as this library has now become to small well you would first opening in the 1600's so they have to cart books across the street to another holding, the plan was to build a new library to house some of the other books but as i said in another post people say it will spoil the historical look of the city and yep you guest it i think the university has back down

i only frequent the library if im researching something but i guess we should all use em, only thing i find is i feel under pressure to read the books in the designated time allowed sadx
