Elvis I love zeppelin, during my teens and early twenties they were one of my fave bands and led zep 3 would still get in my top 10 but they had split up long before I discovered them so I never had that desire to see them. I don't like this thing with bands reforming, might be different for zep cos they ain't making any money from it but it's hardly live aid is it,the bloke they're doing the gig for wasn't penniless. and 125 bar stpid

It's very likely very little to do with the band and more to do with a promoter. Once you get beyond booking your own gigs you rarely set the ticket price. I think Pearl Jam had a go at Ticketmaster a few years ago but it never came to much. They'll have rung Percy three times a week since Bonhams death and finally he said 'OK, a million each.....' just to piss the promoter off and the rest is in the hands of the snakes.

well, if they're going to reform ,they should do it sooner rather than later. They're not getting any younger, that is for certain.
I think they might be regretting not doing something like this maybe ten/fifteen years ago. You only have one shot at life, and although it's honourable to the memory of Bonzo that they have resisted it for so long, maybe they've finally come to the conclusion that he would have wanted them to carry on.
I liked Page's 1988 album Outrider, I tend to think that's the type of sound they would have carried into that decade.
The last true Zep album in 79 was a mish mash of ideas, some worked and some didn't. It will be interesting to hear any new material, they are definitely one of the most musically diverse bands there has ever been. Plant's voice in his prime was something to behold, mixed with the colourful riffs of Page, combined with some great songs .

There are now ads on Ebay charging £2.99 to give you a link to go register for the ballot,I dread to think how many people are registering purely in the hope of getting tickets to sell.

I've just heard on the radio, although it was Radio Borer so it might not be true, that 20 million people have tried to register for the concert.
