(H) Forest Green

14 matches played since I started the 16 match coundown.

Predicted points from these 14 games was 21.83, actual points gained is 17.

Shame we are not on the predicted 64 pts (63.83) as we would have had something to play for.
So close as well!!! Fylde and Maidenhead being the matches I blame.

Prediction for the Rochdale game, well I think Rochdale will beat us 2-1 as I expect them to secure a play off place on Saturday. Pools against Forest Green, I am expecting Pools to win as Forest Green rest players for the play offs.
A place that Pools could have easily secured this season.
A crying shame!

Aye, but no point dwelling on it…look to the new season with us hopefully sailing under a new flag, because the present ownership has failed us miserably in the the ambition stakes.

With Pools awful record of recent and current owners, I think we would be naive to sail on the next ship unless we had many lifejackets, plenty of lifeboats and thousands of corks to put in the many holes left by those who steered her before.

Rochdal away seldom a happy outcome for Pools. Rochdale in the thick of the play off scrummage will want the points far more than Pools. 3-1 to the Dale.

I witnessed a 2-1 victory on my stag do, when we had a box for the day. James Poole scored a worldie and we went mental. August 2011- sure that was the season Mick Wadsworth was manager and we won 4 or 5 away games early doors but couldn't win at home. We were in League 1 ( LEAGUE ONE ala vidiprinter) He got sacked half way through the season - which I always thought was a bit harsh.

Think we were last to leave the ground that day as the beer was cheap and decent. It was about half seven when we left Spotland half cut in a taxi for Manchester city centre.

2 nil Pools victory- Cleary and Madine to score

Crowd 5424
695 Poolies in attendance

One of the most entertaining games away to Rochdale must have been the 2-0 defeat Sat 28th April 2007.

Rochdale took an early lead then Pools missed a pen, then so did Rochdale, all in the first half.

2nd half was even more exciting, Barker sent off for handball, Rochdale converting the spot kick to go 2-0 up.
Then seconds after the re-start, Monkhouse flies in with a tackle, another Rochdale player clatters into Monkhouse and a good old fashioned barney ensues. Ref sends Monkhouse off and Doolan for Rochdale. Monkhouse argues with the ref and on his way off the pitch has another go at a Rochale player.

Almost 3000 Poolies, in a crowd of just over 5800.

Shoud have won the title that season, 1 point from our last 3 games Grrrr!!!

Been to work and got a bath when I came home. Came downstairs 26 minutes into game and 3-1 down. My prediction was for 90 minutes not 26!!! sadx
