It could be but you'd imagine Raj's asking price will prevent any of that sort of thing happening. I'd imagine they're looking to do a 'Welcome to Wrexham' sort of thing, due to their fillum production + associated job roles. Shelley Hammond being from Hartlepool, and being part of the Trust's consortium last year so would have to have been vetted as such to join, gives me a bit of hope that they aren't.

The thing that stands out here is that none of these names have ever been involved in football at any level. Is this move for the love of Pools or do they see some kind of money to be made.

Would think there's only money to be made if we're successful. They don't need to have been involved in football if they appoint the right people to run the club. Look how many clubs are owned by foreigners with no prior links to football.

All ifs and buts at this stage but may be it's both. Seems the person that keeps getting mentioned is from the town, so you'd hope she has the best of intentions. There might also be an opportunity to tie in with development around the ground, (although people have tried and failed previously!)
Certainly she seems to have persevered with buying the club and dealing with Raj, so hats off for that. Just good that there are clearly interested parties, as opposed to none. I take the radio silence as a positive sign after previous dramas.
I also think Pools can be a self-sustaining club, if run better, with real effort to build the corporate stuff and by getting season ticket sales much higher again.

Don't forget as well, if she into film productions and media, we have the Northern Studios on Lynn Street. So possibly could be involvement and investment into the Studios..

My thoughts are you only take over something if you think you can get something out of it.
It may be financial or personal.

I have an awful feeling as we celebrate Raj’s twenty five years in charge ….and was told that season tickets are not needed when playing when we are at home on the Rec, is sold to us as a positive ..we’ll look back and laugh.

Lots of unpaid volunteers at Darlo putting in plenty of hours of work for the club. Then look further down the leagues and most clubs are reliant on volunteers.

Didn’t claim my last season ticket money back from Covid…a gift to the club in times of financial straits ….while you were busy trying to watch matches like a git for nowt in Tenko Town.

I found some Britains figures last week when clearing out some boxes,
