The year just ending I got an introductory price of £12.

Just received the renewal price for £186 - is somebody taking the p*ss?

Luckily it is not auto renewal.

No I didn't, you know what the last time I used any insurance, be it car, home or whatever, I hadn't been married long. So that was the back end of the 70's.

I called them out for a shower mixer valve…..came out and said he couldn’t do anything with you’l need a new one…..and he went to go :angry-tappingfoot: .wait and I’ll get you one …got one , he fitted it and off…...excpet there was no gasket fitted , he hadn’t put it on …took it out and did it myself…later on the wife said ther was water dripping through the kitchen light fitting ….went up pulled the side off and the over flow had been disconnected…magic banghead
Our brief encounter was over

I use them and they are good and cheap. Had an emergency about 3 years when a pipe which was under the floor burst. Whole floor had to be replaced , new pipes fitted above the floor and new floor tiles. Total cost to sort plus labour £2000 . They paid up and were pretty professional to be honest. I got my own plumber , 2 quotes and they were happy with the price. Still using them

Cheaper to pay yourself in the long run than rip off insurance company.
Dead money.
Then if ya don't need it it's a bonus.

Any decent tradesman would not work for these companies as their earnings potential is far greater elsewhere.
