The squad seems to have drifted back to a small workable size again.

With the return of Robinson and Asiimwe, the squad is looking a little thin again.

Dixon it said 4 months so we are looking at next year at least on that.
Waterfall injured and not looking up to pace this season yet.
Wallace farmed out and clearly not in the plans, surely we need him back?
Hunter missed in midfield, probably another month at least out.
Mancini seems not to be considered as a full time player. Obviously worried about risking his hamstring but barely gets 20 minutes a game now.
Madine, who knows how long out? Looked bad when he came down on his ankle his last game but remarkably played on 10 minutes or so afterwards.
Charman injury prone a worry
Sloggett our main fill in now, looks a little short of the grade at the moment
Mathurin is odd, he looks dangerous when he gets on and causes problems for the opposition but seems, like Mancini, not to be considered a full time player and another struggling to get 20 or 30 minutes a game.
Stephenson, 1 mistake under Sarll and shipped out. Young and enthusiastic and seemed to learn quickly but back to a bench warmer now he has returned. Hard for him to get in ahead of Dodds but why noyt play them both?
Onariase is a disappointment. Always on the bench but the managment have clearly made him a last resort. Obviously on the transfer lsit and a gonner at the end of the season. Prone to mistakes but the players ahead of him are not really better, Parkes excepted.

Other than the current first 11 this is the cover apart from the youngsters, We could do with a couple of new loanees who can make it into the first team, a busy time coming up and we certainly need some cover.

loanees yes as long as they are either a kemp, armstrong or burey and not under 21,s from premier and championship clubs. shows really how good they are when only one team from them have progressed into the ko rounds of the bristol street motors playing against weakened league opponents in every game. just shows how so many are not up for the mans game even with any ball skills they posess.

very very True Acc cant agree more ! The more senior pros that have come here for game time have impressed more than say some of the younger U21/U19 players. We need to find another CB with pace for me - or get Dodds in there and push Stephenson out wide (again i feel like a new RWB would suffice better than out else). The GK needs to be looked at again too. Add to that we have lost a CM and also a winger, these 2 positions still dont fill me with confidence within the squad so again a hard working tough tackling CM would be ideal. Add to that another pacey winger who can beat his man and is fit enough for this level too. I said before i feel alot of these kids are not fit enough, regardless of what academy they stem from - the mans game at this level has different demands on the body and its not all about running for 90 mins. Mathurin i feel has felt the brunt of this hence why maybe LL keeps him on the bench.

Hunter is big miss and id like Mancini to start the game and be brought off later rather than expect miracles from him everytime hes subbed on. Id say hes been good for 60 mins through the times hes started or had to come on early - he certainly wont be unfit otherwise wouldnt be making the subs bench and probs would be back on the treatment table again as not to hamper anything niggling away.

When Hunter is fully fit I would personally play him at centre back alongside Parksy. We know he can play both positions and he has done that role perfectly in the games he got switched. I reckon he would do really well there we just need to bring in one or two good midfielders then.

having dodds and stephenson playing on the right would be the closest we have got since the days of cass and sterry. fans mention when stephenson has a bad game its down to his age as if players much more experianced than him never play badly. can never see why you need two really tall lads at the back against opponents with a small forward line either and hunter would be ideal at the back against teams like that. its all about horses for different courses and being more versitle in thinking and the use of the squad available.
