The two commentators from ‘York Hospital Radio’ …a sort of Hinge and Bracket tribute act, sounded like two fans of the club who spend every spare hour in the supporters club unaware there’s a big world outside beside York City FC.
However, one constant theme they kept repeating was their amazement how everything had fallen into place for them, as though their luck was unbelievable and everything worked out so uncannily on the pitch….as though their bubble was gonna burst and it was all too good to be true.
The commentators got quite edgy when we scored to make it 2-1 and if we’d equalised as we should have immediately after our first goal they may have burst into tears…..all teams run into ‘rough weather’ somewhere through the season and if they can cope fair enough, but it appears all fans even at the top live on their nerves.

They mentioned our off field problems.
Said we a bit like York were before there takeover.

And there lays our big Problem.
Even other clubs can see what our problem is.

Obviously mixed views on the way!!

York were in turmoil after their takeover, they were very close to being relegated last season.
Week on week our problem is that we're not getting results on the pitch same as York last season, until they brought in Hinchalwood as manager. The commentators mentioned that it was the manager that brought about the upturn.

They’re a lot like us over recent years and no doubt expecting the bubble to burst the way they were talking….a mixture of blind optimism and wariness as though the wheel might come off.

they were more or less like commentators of many away sides who have had their recent problems. a bit like us always expecting the worst to happen. unlike the ones from halifax last season you could see em looking as if they had been dragged through the club shop wearing everything the club had on offer.
