Looked a definite pen to me.
Why are we passing the ball to their defenders in the final 3rd. Bring back uncle Darren.

Wonder if Walter Mitty Shithead will come down to the bench to give LL his guidance?
This is as bad as anything we've seen this season.

This side just has so little threat, very few decent passages of play and another showing with no great intent or energy. Hard to see what the game plan is.

Already this afternoon Tom Crawford, Neill Byrne, Blair Henderson, Nicky Kibamba, Luke Armstrong, Fondop and Matt Daly have all scored.

I cant see the game but I guess we are passing to them in our final third:

a) because their press is effective and our players are panicking
or
b)because our players lack the skill to pick out their teammates in tight situation.

Like I say, not watching pictures so hazarding a guess or two.

Got to agree it was a penalty but why did Waterdown hesitate to clear, he wanted a week to decide to clear a ball in our box. Shocking by the so called captain who is surely the worst defender on our books. Fergy is piss poor waterworld is totally embarrassing and needs taken off if only for that amateur school boy decision.

We are playing the long ball upto mani who is winning every header just no one within 10 yards of him to win second ball bit like watching a Sarll team no idea how these players have become so bad.As for the pen why did he not just clear it instead he got caught ball watching and caught the man

They've only trained Thursday, Friday after having clearly not worked on anything attacking wise all season and having played pretty much exclusively hoofball. To add to that neither attacking midfielder is fit enough to start.
It's likely we'll lose this but lets not go overboard here.

You look at grounds like this and you see how far we’ve fallen. it’s a small step up from Grayfields enclosure.

I once had a WRAC girlfriend who was from Maidenhead. Her home town name was very appropriate as I recall.

I remember going to it in our first season in the National League. The fence separating the bar from the pitch collapsed and they ran out of hot food before kick off. A real eye opener especially as we lost 2-1...

Referee drew the line then let the defenders stand a yard in front of it didn't help. Our lot didn't bother complaining mind, looks likevtheyve all just given up.
Grey, Dodds, Mani who we all know are decent look like Sunday League standard, the rest don't even attain that level.

Point is better than nothing but still need massive improvements. That midfield 3 can't start together for a start.

Campbell and Mancini both made a huge difference, Campbell did more in half an hour than in the entire season so far. Need to start playing to feet, Waterfall has to be dropped for Sass Davies again he was shocking in every aspect of the game today.
A point today will only be decent if we can nick 3 on Tuesday, no doubt Crawford will play a blinder and score.

I don't think he'll score on Tuesday night.

The only hope we've got is being lucky and finding a manager to get this lot playing to their strengths. LL doesn't look like he's the answer even in the short term.

That's a bit unfair - Maybe Crawf's like Mr Loverman (Keith Curle) and he scores every night and sometimes TWICE! bbolt

To be fair, in his final post-match interview, even the terminally ineffective Sarll admitted that we were lacking someone who could score a goal out of nothing. Without such a player(s) in the squad it is going to be very difficult to mount a realistic push for the play-offs. It is therefore essential that our ‘creative midfielders’ (when match fit) regularly create opportunities for the existing strikers. Trouble is that several of the current squad look like they would be more effective in NLN. Hopefully the new gaffer will be permitted to undertake a modicum of wheeling and dealing when he is appointed.

The creative midfielders can only create when they're on the pitch and they get the ball on the grass. When the ball is consistently launched as long and as high as we do it we'll create nothing.
It was blatantly obvious again for a brief spell that we have the players to dominate games but we only ever do it in short bursts. Is it the manager or are the players just plain thick and doing it themselves?

The existing midfield/forwards proved that they could play a bit in the second half against Sutton who are no pushovers in this league. We went at them and they simply couldn’t handle it during those 45 minutes. We are led to believe that LL played a part in that rare afternoon of decent entertainment at the Vic. The squad hasn’t changed so why should we not expect that standard to become the norm under LL in the short term and the new boss in the long run?
