I am no fan of Mr Evans and Co but find it a bit sad that they have been relegated another league because the conf has refused them entry into the league. They will play next season in the Blue Square Northern section, it does not say if they still have a 10 pts deduction as well.

I think the Conference has suffered more than most through clubs over-stretching themselves and getting kicked out/going bust etc - so they are trying to ensure the competition's integrity, through all clubs being able to complete the season and not affecting other teams, such as almost happened to us with Boston last season. I don't blame them at all.
Recent years has seen clubs like Barrow, Scarborough etc get booted out of their leagues.Sad it may seem, the competition HAS to have credibility.

evans and co have now left the club, even though I don't like the cheating mongrels, this seems very harsh

Deserve all they get, In all honesty I couldnt give a toss about anyone but HUFC, given the amount of times we've be shit upon by the FL/FA/Old Bill etc etc

Any one remember the day of football togetherness down at sunny Brighton all those years back, more like 91 v 1 in my opinion

Can't see the conference turning us down hawklord - no axe to grind with Boston but weren't they lucky to be up in the first place?

Tell you what these football league rules seem to be infinitely variable.

Those rules were a knee jerk reaction to Leicester City's cynical ripping off of their creditors which included a lot of other league clubs, most of whom could ill afford it. That in turn followed on from the ill-planned ITV Digital farce, which anyone with half an ounce of brain tissue could have seen was unsustainable.

If the League'd taken the trouble THEN to consult anyone who knew the basic rules of Insolvency Practice, there never would have been a loophole for anyone to jump through.

The sad thing is that the clubs and their supporters take the brunt, like 'em or hate 'em, and it's always the accountants, none of whom are connected to the clubs but are appointed by the major creditor, who pull the strings. We're a bunch of bounders.

I also think there might be a bit of "afters" here regarding the Conference and Boston. I think the powers-that-be in the Conf didn't like the way Boston basically showed little or no regard to everybody that season when they went up, by the way they were later found out to have cheated. I think the Conf would have deducted the points but they weren't allowed to by the FA, who sorted out the "punishment" instead.
The problem faced by clubs is a big drop in income, plus the bureaucracy of having to deal with three football panels in times like this for clubs such as Boston, i.e. the FA, FL and Conference governing bodies.

BBC Radio Lincolnshire has apparently reported that it was partly due to the club still not having paid fines which dated back to the last time it played in the Conference - pre-2002 days, in other words!

I have a very long memory when it comes to things like the Brighton "fans united" day, fu-cking to$$ers. They could have picked any other game, but no, they waited to play US - because we were down there with them. The cynical c-unts, they were trying to belittle Pools and curry favour with the entire Football League and it certainly worked that day. The ref was a grade AAAAA C-U-NT, as were everybody else who said "what a great day."
It gives me pleasure to say I belted a Southampton fan in a pub in Hove, for coming over to us after the match and basically saying that it was vital that Brighton stayed up and someone like Pools should go down, pecking order etc.
We had a few scrapes that night I seem to remember.............  :uhoh:  :sweeeet: rolf rolfl
