Mani D / Mancini / Grey / Sass-Davies / Charman / Sheron & Featherstone. Second half was the first time I had seen Sheron getting totally involved ( had a sound second half ) Featherstone who 95% of you wanted rid of produced a master bit of skill to provide m.o.m Mani D a winner and first hattrick. Sass-Davies keeps on producing sound performances yet gets dropped when the other two are available which is wrong. Never put a foot wrong and produced that last ditch match winning tackle. Grey does what Grey does provides movement crosses dribbling into good areas, scores goals and works his arse off. Charman for first time provided a goal give 100% percent and moreover that lad really cares and wants to please the fans. When he scored his first thought was grab the ball forget celebrating and get on with the game. ManiD has to start every game because he is head and shoulders one off the best goal scores in the lower leagues. Then we have the " Machine Mancini " who is one of the most creative players from championship down. A proper real footballer a winner and a fans favorite who should have that lead taken off and allowed to run the games. Well done to all of you a superb turnaround now let's keep it going. Whoever is manager from here on in must play at least 5 of these players from the start possibly the 6. Drop the old fellow Waterfront to subs bench every game and give the captaincy to the man mountain Parksy, him and Sass-Davies are the way forward. We actually played 45 mins of exciting proper football and surprise surprise it worked Sarly banghead Do not dare going back to your dog shit sky football and let the footballers play football simples. If we carry on from here doing the same as the second half and playing this football confidence will surge and results will come followed by at least a playoff spot. Sarly if your still in charge foooking stop the ignorant attitude and stubbornness and let those players entertain and win and you may yet survive the " Last Alamo " despite not having a foooking scooby do.

Mancini was brilliant, he also put Sheron through as well as being involved in the goals

I thought Sheron was at his best 2nd half also, as was only him in the ‘destroyer’ role and not 4 players like him so he always had a simple option on

I thought for 2nd game running dodds had a tough one defensively, their 3 rd was a nice piece of skill but he will feel he was really done

As for charman, does his best out wide but shouldn’t start in front of the likes of Grey etc
Respect his effort but the quality isn’t brllliant, though I do think Sarll
Constantly knocking one out over him has prob made me a bit biased against him.

Any manager who doesn’t set the team up to indulge Mancini just a little is missing a trick….think Warnock with that Morocco lad (Taibi?)

I think Mani O deserves a shout for his last minute clearing header off the line which effectively preserved the win.

Asimwiie headed off the line, mani O wasn't in the squad.

Only saw highlights package on You tube but I got the impression Sutton were poor defensively. In the opinion of those who saw the full game, was Sutton's defence poor because of Pools passing and movement or were they just poor anyway?

Thanks Richy, I stand corrected - I was crapping myself at the time as I thought it was going over his head - well done Asimwiie!

For some reason it appeared that the rinkend side of pitch was under attack from the wind. Maybe that was why 6 of the goals went in at that end. sctatchinghead My view is it was piss poor first half with two clueless teams that should have been a 0 - 1. Sutton got a bonus 2nd goal by a weard deflection. We play good continuous attacking football and took most of our chances and deserved to win overall. Their 3rd goal was class run and a super sidefooter into the corner that blinded our keeper till last seconds. Even that goal was a little strange because it was a corner that was cleared and Doddsy ran over to do Fergusons job and got the ball knocked pass him and able to shoot. Despite the good finish it was avoidable if Fergy was a wake and defended it instead of Doddsy.

It was the second corner from that side in a matter of a few minutes and we switched off for them both. Not just Fergy at fault, Dodds was far too easily skinned.

It was on the left side of our defence just outside the corner of the big box. So it is the left back that should really be getting his finger out and doing his job. Correct Dodds was far too easily skinned but he is the right back and should not be expected to run that far across to do a that particularly job. Surely that is either for Ferguson / a midfielder or the centre backs. Doddsy probably got caught because he was on his weakest side and rushing out to try and prevent the danger. sctatchinghead

Other than the obvious Mani and Mancini, who we should be building the team around, I thought Nathan Sheron was fantastic and one of the few players to come out of the first half with any credit. I thought Charman was very good too, I like how he plays.

Pools goal from the Featherstone cross was bad defending from Sutton, Mani was stood totally unmarked at the back post, Credit to Featherstone for his pin point delivery.

It was delicious that the Sutton player Simper who skinned Dodds to score the equaliser then cupped his ear to the town end was the player who Featherstone turned inside out two minutes later to cross for the winner and was stood with his hands on his head while Pools celebrated

in this league there are not many defences who can cope with slick passing and movement. ours could not in the second half at woking. they are set up to play teams who play a better version of sarll ball than us.

Biggest cheer of the first half was when Mani got up to warm up.
Great to see him in the goals and with a huge smile on his face again.

I think the manager should be ignored and the players should play as they see fit. He cannot substitute the whole team .................can he?

Why not, he’s ignored every norm in football…mind you a midfield of Lenny, Ron and Raj could give some cause for concern to supporters…but deep joy to Brackley.

I reckon Featherstone and LL got in that changing room at Half time and told DS what to do ! He really is a talker with no end product. Should of known as ive come across countless cockney wide boys like him who couldnt wire a plug yet stated they helped the Saudis strike oil ! He needs to be gone still in my opinion - i think his ego will not allow him to change too much and he thinks he still is correct. We have an oppertunity to really fine tune this winning team at weekend against shall we say lesser oppponents (FA cup though so we all know the outcome). totally agree with the compliments for those players - we know Feaths does that every week but if the others can stay consistent and injury free we really could have the winning 11 on our hands here and get them even more confident with a win at the weekend. Mancini has to start or we are told otherwise as to why he can only make sub appearances - id rather have 30 mins of him on the pitch anyways than us trying to play Campbell or Sloggett out of position !

its not as if these players showed something we never thought they we capable of but something we have all seen many times before. its only a shock to sarll or an annoyance because we as fans got it right.

A lot of our goals we have conceded have come down the left side. Fergy meanwhile is playing more centrally and is not getting tight enough to the oppositions wing backs on the left side.
