Signing on loan from Leicester for the season, just been reported on Sky Sports.
GK from our academy who we sold to them when we got promoted to League 2

Nothing on the OS or on the internet, where did you get your info from, still a relatively inexperienced young keeper, be ok for the bench for back up.

Assume he would be 1st choice, no point getting a keeper as ‘back up’ for Dixon, bring a better one in or don’t bother

He must be doing well at Leicester otherwise he would be gone by now. On the face of it a brilliant signing.

Pretty sure the deal will have clauses that say Brad must be first choice or at least play half the season. sctatchinghead

@RobLaw
As reported by Sky, it’s understood Hartlepool United are closing in on the loan signing of keeper Brad Young from Leicester City.

Although the deal is not completed as yet, a move would see the 22 year-old return to the club where he started his career.

Don,t think LCity would take kindly to him warming the bench.
He,ll gain NO experience on the bench.

Think LCity will take him straight back if on the bench.
Loan deals can be a bit complicated and not straight forward as people think.

We need Stella loanies to get anywhere near promotion.
Probably our last chance saloon.
So to put them on the bench would be self inflicted death of the club.

It's now or never.
And still a no excuse season in my mind.
Lets av it

The highlights of his recent performance against Burton in the EFL Trophy Group Stage does not fill me with confidence.
I think he will be warming the bench.

Wouldn’t call it a great signing he’s a young unproven goalkeeper who I hope will be a success

Will reserve judgement until I see him, but smacks of being turned down by Everton (perhaps unexpectedly) so now running to what we know which hasn’t had great results in the past

Well the last keeper we got from Leicester played ever game of I remember correctly.
He went back there & was on the bench for them as they won the Championship, maybe they were happy with Pools & don’t mind doing it again

Lets get real hear.
Our posts negative or positive.
Have absolutely zero effect on the green grass.

I've ran out of the amount of time I've put Hopefully on me posts.

Only this season it's the last literature of that scenario.

I guess Leicester will be concentrating on the closing of the transfer window. This one can wait until the window has closed.

Can’t believe it I’m in agreement with Billi P this lad is unproven. Can’t say he’s great signing until he proves it which I hope he does.

He was on loan at Notts County for 4 months two years ago when they were still in the NL and didn't get a sniff of first team action.

Last season he was the regular starter for Leicester's U-21 side and played some EFL Trophy games for them.

I guess this is a make or break season for him but there's no way he'll be guaranteed a start for Pools. - the likes of Ravas weren't in recent seasons. Probably be Smith out if Brad comes in - and it would be great if he made a good go of it for us, seeing as this is where he started his career.

Unproven but an interesting one, why? We have a sell on clause in his contract.

It potentially benefits us significantly if he plays a blinder, goes back to Leicester, becomes their number one and moves on in a multi million pound deal.

That's dream world of course, let's see how the lad gets on.

Thank God for a bit of common sense, yes I like the good old fashioned idea of just seeing how he performs instead of pulling him to pieces before the wrappings’ even off.
I bet there’s people on here who’ve never bought a car because after they’ve picked to pieces any model they’ve come across because the seller’s told them to fuck off in frustration.

No one is pulling him to pieces you are once again jumping to conclusions. How can any player be classed as a great signing when they have hardly ever played? Beyond me that. Facts are he is unproven and hardly played. Can dress it up all you want. He might turn out to be brilliant, he most likely will be a bench warmer because we have been knocked back by the keeper we really wanted.

Have we been knocked back by the keeper we really wanted or are you jumping to conclusions? And even if that's the case it happens, every club gets knocked back in the transfer market.
Stolarczyck was unknown but turned out to be pretty good, other loanees have had good reputations and turned out to be absolutely shite, we'll just have to wait and see as with every signing at every club at all levels in football.

Well considering the people who said we were signing him were spot on sky tv, said we had then i guess thats pretty concrete information.

Of course sky might of guessed whats happened and remarkably got the right keeper, if they did i want the lottery numbers off them tonight.

So what if we were knocked back, if he doesn't want to be here or his club doesn't want him here or we couldnt afford him, who cares?
Ivan Toney, Raheem Sterling knocked clubs back it happens and being knocked back doesn't mean we're a bad club. That's why clubs (not just us) have lists of targets, if you don't get your 1st choice you move on to the next and so on.

Well if your knocked back by the keeper you have wanted for 3 months its not exactly great news is it? Considering this was the guy that was supposed to replace the transfer listed one we have now. Im presuming then that brad young will be straight into the first team today then?

I reckon Brad will get the nod today and do well.
It's division 5.

Next Stella loanies.
A fast winger who can cross the ball to our new heading machine Madine.

Like Billy says that is one hell of a front line for this division.
A good feeling about today.

Who knows? Brad might go on to be far the better keeper than the one we have supposedly been waiting 3 months for?
The fact is Brad is here the other kid isn't so it's pointless pining for what we missed out on, let's just get behind the players that are here and want to play for us.

Keep 11 players on the pitch play players in correct positions, get the ball down at times, pray our defenders are back and 3 points be in the bag. Play like we did first two home games and we might as well said beds inside the ground.

If Madine is going to be a success, Then crosses have to be put in.
I maybe wrong wrong but think most of his goals are headers.

I think if LCity do not think he has a chance, They would have off loaded him.
Also think this is a massive time for Brad, It really could be make or break.
And also a big gamble for Snarll.

Depends on his contract i guess. But yeah if he cant get into a pools side what chance has the lad got at Leicester.

Well the last goalkeeper from Leicester eventually got in the Pools side and went back to play in the Leicester first team.

Well going by some comments on here he’s totally fecking useless, a burden who should be given the Sat Nav settings for Leicester and sent packing.
I prefer to give the lad a chance, call me a big softy.
