And be ecstatic with 1 point if we go on to beat Braintree Saturday.

I understand having to change things at home but we have won 2 out of 2 away why risk changing a winning formula. sctatchinghead

1-2. We are owed a goal due to the clueless officials that missed the ball crossing the line last time we were down here. Woking fans are pretty chipper that they have won 2 in a row. Hopefully I’ll be smiling on my walk home after the match having spoiled that run.

That's all options covered then Kev  Do you have the winning lottery numbers yet. Or do I just take every number with every combination costing 2.5 million pounds to win the 2 million jackpot.

Because it wont last playing like we have been, we only won at tamworth cos they missed a sitter, cant keep winning games creating 1 or 2 chances a game, before long a defender of ours will make a mistake and you need 2 goals all of a sudden.

Sarll come to us with a reputation of building physical and aggressive teams, who play it long and scrap for second ball and try to play higher up the pitch. Defenders are expected to defend midfielders are more old school jack of all trades who are needed to win the ball back and fight.

That seems to be what we’ve seen so far in these games but the creative players haven’t had much of a chance to got hold of the ball for any length of time. I can’t imagine him ripping up all the pre-season work and switching to a back 5, having attacking wing backs and playing out from the back.

I’d much rather us have scrappy wins and player longer balls, than expect national league defenders and a keeper who isn’t known for being great under pressure or with his feet, to play out from the back and give away sloppy goals like we’ve seen the last few seasons. It’s not pretty but it’s getting decent results so far.

Away from home you are always going to get beaten at times but if we win half or more of our away games it puts us in good stead. 6 points from two games what do you want away from home entertainment banghead We are never going to agree so let's leave it at that.

Yes Tamworth missed a sitter, the key point being they missed.
They didn’t score.
Pointless comparison if we’re gonna be serious….up there with ‘if only’.
You get nothing for missing.

If only we had got the ball down and attacked Wealdstone instead we let them look like barcelona for half an hour.

Whoever scores the most goals will win and if both sides score or don't score it will be a draw. Does anyone know the cheapest place for fence preservative? Thanks. Was stationed in Surrey during my army days and its world away from Hartlepool so stick it up the Surrey boys Pools and again. thanks.

V interested to see the team sheet but in reality we have v little option to change much offensively, a couple of changes in the middle likely and Mancini dropped but that’s about it

If madine not fit enough for the bench Saturday don’t see how he would be only 2 days later ..

Yeovil tamworth and Southend all missed extremely good chance late on and we scored from a hopeful punt in the last minute
Yes they are ‘if only a’ but it’s absolutely reasonable to say we have been somewhat fortunate
Putting your hands over your ears and shouting waaah like a 4 year old doesn’t make it any less true, and if you are expecting that sort of luck over a 46 game season you are kidding yourself

Win today that 4 points on a bank holiday weekend. If I was told on Friday we would get 4 points on this bank holiday weekend I would have jumped for joy. If we won Saturday and got a point today most supporters would be well happy despite a poor show on Saturday. If we played well on Saturday and won then struggled today but pinched a point everyone would be happy and simply point to the closeness of the games / the long trip to Woking / fatigue. It's not a time to jump from the frying pan into the fire.

" I have not yet begun to fight "
This quote is attributed to John Paul Jones, an 18th - Century naval hero who said it during a battle with a British ship. Jones's ship was badly damaged, and the British commander asked if he would surrender. Jones replied " I have not begun to fight yet " and his crewe went on to capture the British ship. fine but we have put ourselves into the position of needing a win today to keep us back on track instead of winning on saturday and going down there in a more relaxed mood. win or lose today will have no real affect on where we will finish but only a very slight help or hindrance that can be lost or made up quite quickly. sarll aint stupid by a long way but like all managers they can be very stubborn and stand or fall by their own decisions. it works for some but not others in the end.

Agree Accy but I feel our biggest worry today is possible fatigue. Surely he has to rest Hunter minimum because it was plain to see he was wacked hence the Wealdstone lads being able to push on. He has probably been our most influential player this season with his closing down work rate and engine stopping other teams from playing. Other players like Fergy / Parksy / Sheron / ManiD / could be rested. sctatchinghead But I am hopeful these will play at least a hour. Everyone struggled Saturday but I would include Mancini because he lookd good at Tamworth and either one of Grey or Campbellto play no10. Freeman I from the start.

My team would be:
Dixon
Freeman Waterfall Parksy Fergy
Sloggett Featherstone Sheron
Mancini
ManiD Campbell

Subs:
Madine / Robinson / Grey / Sass-Davies / ManiO / Stephenson & Smith.

What about the two tamworth had that went inches wide? We have mustered about 5 or 6 chances in 3 games against Tamworth, Wealdstone and a home game with Southend. Lets be honest its been pretty piss poor apart from a bit of fight that we are showing and organisation no longer soft touches so much.

I agree, after Saturday, not getting beaten would be good.

However it is not beyond hope that a goal could be conjured up as per the first two away games. I keep hoping that Mancini can reproduce last season's cracking winner at Ebbsfleet when neither team looked capable.

Good definition of Fatigue.
KPG. Finishing 6till2 on a Tuesday then driving to Orient to see the lads.
Driving back to clock in at 6am Wednesday morning without any sleep.
520 mile round trip

Ye I used to be a superfan back in the day and I also know I wasn't the only one.

Me Parmo n Mutley used to tour England for fun to support the lads.
UTP.

Not many surprises in starting line up--apart from Waterfall who I assume is injured/rested

No sign of Madine yet which isn't a surprise, and Mancini and Stephenson dropped down to bench.

lets hope for 3 points and an improved performance

" I have not yet begun to fight "
This quote is attributed to John Paul Jones, an 18th - Century naval hero who said it during a battle with a British ship. Jones's ship was badly damaged, and the British commander asked if he would surrender. Jones replied " I have not begun to fight yet " and his crewe went on to capture the British ship. " UTP KEEP THE FAITH.

Hoy, that’s the fooking enemy…saw them off on the end. :angry-tappingfoot:
