Its greyfields. Hartlepool town used to play at the domes before they moved. Think you get them from pools.

700 on the Enclosure - not sure it will safely hold many more than that. Are pools providing the Stewards?

I dont think 2000 people will be able to watch the match tbh - where on earth are they all going to stand ? and piss for that matter. The Pav will be absolutely out of its depth with the 700 already sold never mind 2000

Portacabin toilets needed or a few gates opened at the allotments.

Probably a good piss up day especially with the England game on after.

im sure Pools are having a behind closed doors friendly basically 2 teams made up of trialists and kids - again something i was told by a not so reliable source.

Can see this one being filled with the kids and trialists (if any) tbh.

Jesmond Rd going to be chaotic before game. Probably biggest crowd since Siemens v Cerebos Good Friday games in the 50s.

You surely have made more sense to play at the Vic sctatchinghead Much more chance of picking up a serious injury on Grayfields sctatchinghead

tbh its a half decent pitch and there is worse or was worse that we played on in the NL last year (s).

if the weather is okay and the pitch isnt hard and dry the lads should be fine - id imagine Pools asking for at least a light watering if the weather hasnt already done it for us.

Be weird seeing a full time pro Pools team turn up at the Pav enclosure for a pre season.

Well that is totally true  I have just popped in to take a look and have to say it's a very impressive setup for a team like Hartlepool f.c. Pitch looks good they have 3 small stands around 200 / 250 seats, plenty standing grass around the pitch and best of all around 10 big outdoor pub seating tables. I guess a bar inside sctatchinghead Happy days that's me getting dropped off on a beautiful sunny day

Please be aware, this game is billed as FC Hartlepool vs Hartlepool United X1 , it's VERY unlikely to involve many , if any , regular first teamers, more likely trialists and young'uns, it'll still be a decent day out and a nice money spinner for FC BUT it isn't a bonafide first team friendly.
I'll be going by the way but only cos it's a five minute walk for me, and the kids will enjoy it as well.

I think we will have plenty of first teamers playing isnt the next friendly after that the 13th july away at west auckland so they are going to need game time.

add all those numbers up i feel 2,000 is well above the number that could safely be accomodated there. 1,500 should be the absolute max.

Sarll pretty confirms what I said, in his interview today, will be a mixture of Academy, triallists and possibly a couple coming back from injuries.

Was a huge crowd there when Rovers played in a county Cup game v Alan Shoulders team.

Not many games for the first teamers then unless they add more.

Just a thought A lot of the injuries last season were blamed on training on the3g pitch at Durham and not on grass. Why not train on the grass pitch at Grayfields. They could pay Hartlepool fc a rent or lend them accademy players so they are ready for the first team when called on.

Plenty of grass football pitches to train on in Hartlepool but they don’t have the facilities, I can’t see HFC being happy about their pitch being used every day.

It's going to be very interesting because they only have around 200 seats split between 3 small stands. After that it's grass around the pitch and around 10 beer bench tables. Me & Kev will be OK though because he is bringing his step ladders so we can climb over. We should be able to get a decent view of the game from top of the ladder...but not sure how long that will last when we start knocking the pints back.

Well impressed with Hartlepool f c as a football club very well organised. I will definitely be going to see them again in future. Talking to one of the supporters and he said he pays £50 for a season ticket ( £2 ) a game or its £5 a game. He reckons over £50,000 profit is expected from the game today. He said a normal gate is around 200 but a derby game brings in around 350. We should play them every pre-season and help them progress. It's the first ever away game I walked home from.

That's a great money spinner for FCH and something we should definitely do every pre-season.

I'd definitely go along and support them, if I still lived in the town, and Pools were away.
I might be up home the weekend of the darLO Town game, will go as it's walking distance from my Mum's. Be interesting to see what they've done with the Enclosure, as I went to Jesmond Road back in the day, so spent quite a lot of time at Grayfields.

Does anybody know the names or recognise any of the trialists that scored the goals?

Well impressed with Hartlepool f c as a football club very well organised. I will definitely be going to see them again in future. Talking to one of the supporters and he said he pays £50 for a season ticket ( £2 ) a game or its £5 a game. He reckons over £50,000 profit is expected from the game today. He said a normal gate is around 200 but a derby game brings in around 350. We should play them every pre-season and help them progress. It's the first ever away game I walked home from.

some of the n.w, counties league near me would love to get gates like that and it was rare indeed for the east anglian teams playing in the jewsons eastern league getting more than crowds counted in more than two figures.

FC Hartlepool would like to get gates like that. This was a one off, a bit of a novelty, I hope it helps to get new supporters to go along and see them when Pools are away. Only problem is you can watch Pools on the fire stick.

no, but there 200 to 350 regulars aint to be sniffed at either. when you look at some of the fa cup preliminary ground gates with two figure crowds you can understand that. know now though once the fixtures come out we,ll be at home when they are.
