Very happy with the 1st signing Flyde offered him new terms and he turned them down. Chris Beech is no mug so the fact he wanted Luke to stay says a lot. Welcome Luke work hard and get stuck in lad and always give us 100% in return we will give you 100% support

He was constantly at it and a massive pain in the arse when we played Fylde last.
No guarantees but in terms of a player who fits into a coherent strategy that Sarll claims he is going for this makes a lot of sense Christ knows we need someone who can run

Unless he's a squad filler I'm not blown away by this and it could indicate the level of player we can sign! Will give him a chance though!

Charman signed for Fylde from Rochdale for an undisclosed club record fee so l suspect they rated him. Doesn't seem to be a prolific goal scorer but maybe would be great foil to Manny D.

He played very well against us and seemed to have a lot of pace and energy.

If we had signed Charman from Darlo a couple of years back I would have been over the moon with his arrival. However he doesn’t seem to have kicked on as many people thought he would, either at Dale or Fylde. This could have been due to better quality opposition/league and/or injury problems but either way let’s give the kid a chance. Let’s face it, he’s got to be an improvement on the likes of Duffers!

I'll give him 30 mins into his debut at least!

Front 4 of mani d , charman, grey and Mancini has me being overly optimistic again

It is alright to mockingly say we out muscled Fylde to sign him. They are owned by a sugar daddy who throws money at them, he had the chance to resign for them but for personal reasons wanted to return to the North East. Good luck to him

I don't think that's quite what he does any more. Not a thrilling signing but I always hope these ones turn out to be like Rhys Oates (the return).

They're always a surprise, aren't they? All those names bandied about by people on here who know people who supposedly know something, and the first one through the door was never mentioned.

Well this guy fits in to the style and the way the manager wants us to play. High intensity, winning the ball back up at the high end of the field. Playing with energy. Everything we didn’t have last year. Could be a bit more prolific but I am assuming that Sarl is bringing others in with the same mentality to fit his philosophy on how he wants us to play. 3 attacking midfielders, one defensive one need to be added also imo. Reasonable signing. Last year we were pedestrian in midfield. If you’re going for promotion the best teams play with high energy and on the front foot. We attack them not letting others attack us. We also need a bit of muscle, height and aggression like the two defenders we signed at the end of last season. So positive from me.

and wreh. the main problem is where will grey play if he is deemed good enough to play up front with hopefully manny d. really expected a defensive high energy mid fielder to be the first through the door as its been a weekness since sylla decided he,d had enough. still plenty of time to go and will not say a thing about charman till i see how he plays for us which could be different to whats he has done in the past good or bad.

I imagine Charman is coming in as more of a winger/attacking mid seen as that's where he was playing for Fylde at the end of the season when they had their success. Would still allow Grey and Mani D to play together up top but gives us someone hard working and quick behind them to help create chances.
I share your concerns about a defensive mid but by all accounts that will be Hunter who has signed but we're waiting for him to get back from holiday to announce him.

Yeah we need players with energy in our team, we can t have the same pedestrian pattern of play as last season.

If he is going to play more than 30 games a season you can have him back. Doesnt fit into our plans in the treatment room.

I wouldnt call agyemang dynamic, no goals rarely set anyone up, not sure about him at all.Think we need better surely?

Maybe I liked him as he was a change from what we had (he did have a few assists)
What I liked about him is how of term he hassled the oppo so they had to check back and slow down their attacks, with the likes of Cooke and feather once the ball was slightly past them they were completely out of the game


I do like the two we have signed are at a good age, not unproven kids or past it old boys

Yeah he was different but we didnt really improve as a team with him, hopefully these two new lads wake us up a bit, were crying out for a goalscoring midfielder.

Problem with Aygemang was he never got a run of even 2 or 3 games in centre mid. He had to slot in at right back quite a few times. He was brilliant on his debut in midfield but we rarely got to see him there. I’d have him back if wages are low and see if he can push for first team.

At the very least his versatility would be very useful

I think there is a decent player in him, Don,t know if we have time to nurture him though.
