Ayrshire coast for the week, lovely place but the roads are full of lunatics, average speed camera’s everywhere and every one horse town has speed camera’s in the streets and the artic drivers heading to Cairnryan make it like taking you’re part in the film ’DUEL’…..apart from that very nice :uhoh:

Aye we did, took the coast road down from Ayr to avoid the mentalists on the A77. Pulled up by the sign on the side of the road, fascinating story about the optical illusion, glorious road to drive down and no traffic whatsoever.
Stopping in village called Dailly inland from Girvan.
Also passed Turnberry golf course on that road….and not interested in golf, but what a facility, looks like Trump has splashed the cash there.
Was down the Mull of Galloway yesterday and Hartlepool got a mention as it pointed out if travel due east to the East coast you’ll come out in Hartlepool, mind you it’s brilliant but the single track road up was ok till we encountered the bin wagon coming down. banghead..
Off now on another trek ..waiting for the wife and Ratboy. :angry-tappingfoot:

My brothers wifes aunty lived in a cottage near Ayr that Ian Hislop used to live in when he was young.
Apart from that i have no connection with Ayr whatsoever.

I think that’s Coldean Bay, just north of Turnberry.
Had Ratboy on a beach near Ardrossan …he dug a massive long hole and just laid on it, with just his head out resting on the sand , strange terrier sctatchinghead
