Absolutely rotten news this! Always happens to your best players never the pants ones! Least they are both young and strong lads. Things were looking too good so it was bound to happen.

We've gone from needing 2 players for depth to 2 starters and 2 depth...

Devastating news. Both probably irreplaceable like for like, so we'll need to change how we play. One positive could be they're more likely to stay for next season now?

typical pools luck. the whole place needs an exorcism and washed and watered with holy water. as you say its always the ones with their names on the team sheel first and not the scrap we do not ever want to see again.

have we got the money though to bring in 2 never mind the 4 we actually need. might have been able in increase the squad but replacing two of their calibre could be beyond our capabilities. no raj knocking either as no one expected any of this to happen.

6 months for a hamstring ffs

I know clubs get injuries but this is absolutely taking the piss, only at fucking pools

Have to see how we go from here but they are arguably 2of our 3 best players

Least we have less chance of losing them now but this is sickening

the plus side is a team without both put in a shift against possibly the best side in the league on monday for 80 minutes. we would have seen a few pools teams showing the white flag feeling sorry for themselves. could see a different type of pools side over the next few weeks although it s hard to see it being close to be as attractive. need to concentrate now on what we still have left and any sensible recruitment.

Not a time for feeling sorry for ourselves, a time for being positive, because that’s all we can do. Let’s see what happens, it may not be as bad as we fear…I hope.

Difficult but we have to kick on although difficult probably after losing 2 of our better players.

Yeh we have to move on but loss of Mancini especially has sucked the fun out of the season a bit

Hopefully a couple of replacements and we grind our way into the playoffs, shows how much a squad is needed but to lose both for so long is pretty fucking unlucky

John Askey is taking it on the chin and saying the usual things about other players taking their chance to step up.

I thought Pruti did well when he came on at Chesterfield. There was talk of him wanting a move back down south a few games ago when he wasn't even making the bench, but hopefully that's all changed.

Mancini is the bigger loss.

I think Pruti is as good a replacement for dodds as we can expect

It’s a real shitter tho as the dodds, Mancini, seaman interaction going fwd was huge (and really fun to watch)

I trust Askey but I hope people give him some relief for the shit luck we have if it takes a few games to adjust.

Not disagreeing with you and it pisses me off, but all we can do is suck it and see.
Like you say, hopefully some moves can be made and let’s see what happens on the replacement front.

Worst news possible very hard to take in. Is Stevenson up to the job ? We have no one to do what Mancini is capable of unless we spend and a lot of money. I think we can kiss goodbye to a play off position unless miracles do happen.

Louis Stephenson? He might make the bench, though even that's not likely. JA doesn't like to throw young lads in at the deep end. Kieran Burton is still waiting his turn.

Grade 4 injury, complete muscle detachment, so 6 month is only a minimum. Brutal. Like you say, only at pools.

That’s genuinely the longest I have ever heard for a hamstring, de bruyne was on one leg and his was only 4 months

Really hope we support him properly and have him for next year, be like 2 new signings

Gutted for the two lads and wish them both a speedy recovery - let's hope that's worst case scenario, and they'll both be back a bit sooner, given they're both relatively young .

This gives others a chance to stake a claim - hopefully Wallace can get a decent run of games under his belt. Hendrie also a good signing, who we know will slot straight into the team.

Assuming big Josh is staying, with a couple more additions/ loans - we'll still have a competitive team for this league, given the start we've had already.

Listen to the physio video, he said Mancini was back at Hartlepool now, they are assessing him currently.
