Seaton Carew getting a bit of praise, Gordon Flash Watson lived in the Norton, loved Seaton not for the same reasons, he loved the cold wind blowing in off the North Sea, watch Switch of Play where he was full of praise for Seaton.

My ex from Leeds loved Seaton . Beach is good must admit. Fish and chips and ice cream good too. I remember buying fish chips from the one nearest the bus station and I was astounded at the size of the fish. Probably would have cost twice the amount in Harrogate

In fact the fish was so big I couldn’t eat it all and ended up giving half of it to a dog who was very happy

must have took loads of different people to seaton and not a single one disliked the place. was usually the high spot of the day as the later match at the vic brought em down to earth and even the town centre never dampered there enthusiasm as much as that.

Sometimes we’re so thick we don’t realise what we’ve got.
The sands at Seaton are brilliant as are the rock pools on the Headland and not forgetting the North Sands which are also very good.
I’m always amused when Bank Holidays come along and the BBC automatically show the crowds on Brighton gravel bank aka ‘beach’…..they’re all sat on their towels …must be a painful experience.

its harder to walk on it than our soft sand is. totally overated but always gets free publicity on the tele and in films where everyone is off to brighton for the day or weekend as if no other place on the south coast exists.

I once drove through with our lass and the kids in the back in the 80’s heading towards Pompey and she asked me to pull into Brighton and get the picnic out….no chance, carried onto Shoreham for the picnic complete with a stunning panorama of the power station.

the famous film set there Brighton Rock could not have been named better. Sands of Brighton would never have worked where your immagination would have to work overtime too much.
