Hartleblue- you have overstated the crowd by at least 2 - because my grandson and I are on Holiday.
Score - again I think you have overstated it by 2 - any victory will be brilliant

a game where we will need strong officials that are not taken in by fatty evans and his gobshite assistant ranting and raving over any decision that goes against them. will not hold my breath though and even if i do not like draws i,d take one now for this game. only salford away then is my big worry.

Their team is in their image too - a cheating set of bar stewards.

Their winning 'goal' down at Stevenage, where the player hid in a corner of the net for 20-30 seconds before running back on behind Killip, is the worst decision by a ref against Pools this season. Even allowing for Killip being a plonker

Hartlepool 2 Stevenage 2.

Expecting fireworks given this is an Evans team. A draw for Stevenage, ground out in controversial and gamesmanship fashion. Pools to ensure we do not do this the easy way.

we will need someone else to do the job dan kemp did at grimsby. can see him being marked, shoved, pushed and kicked out of the game to make him inaffective. past masters of the dark arts where there managerial duo has practised for years at stevenage and other clubs. set piece experts as well. they are not known as Satanage for nothing at one lancashire based club.

Hopefully the ref protects him, like vs Sutton where Kemp got Eastmond sent off in first half.

If they are man marking him it frees up space for other players or it should do.

it would get stevenages head spinning after the work they,ll put in pre match to stop him and we play someone else from the start and have him on the bench.

They have only got 3 points from their last 4 games, albeit 3 draws and a defeat.

Expect tight game with 2-1 winning score and the Gatwick mob with their wasted journey to the end of the Earth (Barrow) giving them f*ck all in the way of points.

barrow could have a big say in who goes down and who stays up. lets be nice about them for a few weeks.

This is a shit match up for us, big center backs and long ball set pieces sun box etc which is where we still struggle, it was a shit show every time Grimsby got a long throw on Friday
I’m going 2-1 stevenage unfortunately, one plus of Sterry being injured potentially is playing Foran and having more height in the box

I think it be a heartbreaking defeat, with fat Steve Evans cheating his way to victory as always.
As said above we need a strong ref to see through the cheating and diving, we can not afford to get dragged down to their level.

Pools 1-3 Cheats 5634 (134) they have crap away and home following considering they been top half all season, don't deserve to go up. Rather see Carlisle, Northampton, Stockport, Bradford or Mansfield get 2nd and 3rd.

Pools don't do clean sheets. It is a tough one to call but I am pretty sure Stevenage will be much sterner test than Grimsby who's minds were on the beach (not taking anything away from Pools brilliant performance). Stevenage have a lot to play for so I suspect another score draw is on the cards.

I always think of Stevenage as a team who set an example to other teams of how not to play the game.

Stevenage are below Northampton in the league, & way behind Orient. They could only draw at home to Colchester on Friday, so based on our results against Northampton & Orient we have nothing to fear other than ourselves.
I expect Askey knows how Stevenage play & has instructed his team accordingly. Stevenage will have to be on the top of their game to keep Kemp, Umerah & Jennings all quiet, & then there's McDonald to contend with

need a win today. just cannot see us getting much if anything in our next 2 games against an improving newport side and salford who in the past have shown pools at their worst at their place. it will be our 3 home games that will decide where we will be playing next season.

Agree they won't come here to play football, they will try and con the ref, left right and centre, just hope we're leading to stop the inevitable play acting and the officials are on there game

Foran for Sterry only change-

Good to see Sylla on the bench-whatever the ins and outs we have a much better chance of staying up with him than without.
If he can help us stay up and then gets a move which advances his career good luck to him

Poor goal, gave ball away and Murray very poor positionally again--he almost got caught out earlier.

Stevenage v solid, Bostwick and Reid very good

Frustrating as expected, and likely going to be a long second half

Stevenage have some good players especially in the middle

Not sure how we get back into this as the kicking and time wasting only going to get worse.

Out of the relegation places at the moment by a point and now that Barrow have scored a second we’ve got a better GD too.

Nice journey back for Crawley, 3 down now in the depths of Cumbria. Could do with a flight from Carlisle back to Gatwick?

I was looking at their team and I thought that Danny Rose has dropped a long way since the World Cup in Russia. A different Danny Rose apparently not to mention a different colour! This one isn’t a darkie.

Feel knackered after last 20 minutes

Both teams deserve credit for going for it and Stevenage are a good side as well as a bunch of nasty tvvats

Finney and Murray missing sitters but that last second goal clearance was a big one too.

Overall point prob fair result and if we keep that up we should beat Newport

Sylla was great when he came on again, though putting Crawford on vs that lot gave me a heart attack

Also Mcdonald back to not releasing ball when he should, hopefully askey has a word
