Friggin air fryer! She does everything in them now - even weetabix!

Seriously though, I'm perfectly happy for her to cook a lot of things in the thing but shes just presented me with air fried chips. Now call me what you like but chips should not be hard on the inside and dry as a nun's chuff. Boil them for five minutes and fry them for ten. Result is fluffy perfect chips. These things that shes just made, you could put a window in with them. Wheres Monkeybutt when you need him!

Decree absolute to follow.

Had many home made chips done in an airfryer, Coat in oil first, then season.
In airfryer for 20 mins, Half way through shake to seperate back in for final 10.

Mind do like Chippan chips.

Still too dry. Need to be done in oil or lard unless it’s illegal now.

Verills do beef dripping but it may be a bit of a dive for some. Only 5 miles for me.

Great little gadgets for sausages, chicken, chips, gougons, toasties once you've mastered them ..a compact little oven and grill rolled into one but cheaper..spend a little more and buy a' decent 'one with a basket of at least 5.5 litres upwards .

Got some pork dripping from my local Co-op and I like it on bread with "loads" of salt. I know it's supposed to be not good for you but at my age I don't give a s*it.

Spend a little more!!! She gave nearly £400 for this monstrosity!

Edit: I’ve been corrected. She spent £400 in Curry’s but only £269 of it was on the air fryer.

So a bargain then. Out of pocket and horrible chips. It’s not better than my £100 loaf of bread when I bought a bread making machine and used it once.

One of the things you could do, is use pre larded chip's ..like mc cairns treble cook chips.

you can take the airfryer tray out that sits in the bottom, so you getting that full lard experience your looking for.
I'd go 17 minutes and take it from there, given them a shake every 6..7 minutes mind.

All of the above work as well..but like everything in life it comes down to personal choice..like cucumbers. Have fun.

PS Whitby Scampi is good as well about 8 mins
with tray back in. Don't shake to much as will fall apart. I use a pair of silicone tongs to turn over, halfway through. This is from frozen .

On 180 airfryer setting..on ninja duel tray, airfryer

one good thing is that you will not be fighting in the court for ownership of the thing.

269 ? :o that's more than i paid for mine.. top of the range by the sounds of it,unless you've paid for useless multi-functions..Tweeking the cooking times is the key..throw a portion of what mr thedno recommended into one of baking cup lining sheets they sell for them..you might be surprised.
