See the jokers on Radio Tees are hoping for Boro v Pools. Thanks but no thanks, a lot of their supporters wouldn't bother to turn up. Not to mention the thought of being patronised by resident gobshite Neil Maddison

I'd take a return visit to the Stadium of Light and a massive crowd. The Mackems are proper football fanatics, unlike the Smoggies.

I just have a feeling that it will be Arsenal at home.

The Boro delude themselves into thinking they’re a ‘big’ club, but BIG clubs turn out a decent crowd regardless of the opposition, the Boro fans only turn out for proper big clubs.
No pay day there.

I am sure there is a train strike on the 6th & 7th January, the date of the 3rd round. A draw away in London would be difficult to get to, as well as difficult to get around London if TFL are also on strike as the tubes wouldnt be running. We can hopefully get a big team away thats easy to get to without needing a train. Newcastle would be ideal!!

Could never criticise the Boro fans after the way they supported us a few years ago, people have short memories, they regularly take 3k to away games in the Championship which not many other teams (maybe Sunderland) can match.

The hardcore might but the average Boro fan is oblivious to us, I worked with plenty.
Don’t get me wrong, football apart they’re really good company.
