In an interview yesterday Curle didn't hold out much hope that he would do any more business till January: https://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/sport/ ... es-3893672

“I’ve had conversations with the chairman and the chairman is desperate to help. But I’ve told the chairman I’ve scoured it [the free agent market], and I've looked at the players, and I'm not going to throw good money after bad.

“There’s players now that are unattached but there’s a reason why they’re unattached four months into the season. My job is to see if I can identify a player I think can add to the squad, then the chairman is desperate to help me because he wants this football club to maintain their league status - and that’s the battle that we’re in.

It remains to be seen whether Theo Robinson will be a useful addition - he never really got into the game on Tuesday night.

As Curle says there will be a good reason when 4 months into the season they have not got a club. Of those listed above four of them have hardly played.

Looks like his plans aren’t short term it would appear or willing to compromise.

robinson did ok in his debut but offers little in front of goal. only one i know anything about is tom elliott, but his career seems to be going backwards very quick and had a really poor one with salford last term. by the time any of them are really up to speed we,ll be in december and is it worth throwing good money at them.

Games
Kyle Howkins CB 139
Dillon Barnes GK 45
Joe Fryer GK 95
Dion McGhee MD 46
Rhys Bennett CB 397
Tom Elliott CF 380
---------------------------------

The thing is any players available come January May well not have played at all, Or maybe the odd substitution.
And what will make pools suddenly attractive to them, Cause the likes of Harra will throw money at it.

Greyhound don’t know where you get figures from but wiki certainly differs. Hoskins for example has only played 56 and McGhee nothing and these figures are over about 5 seasons which in my book means they’ve hardly played.
