Funny how this season has been so dire for the borers. After last season it seemed they’d be up there, but Wilder didn’t sound too happy in the close season interviews over possible signings….didn’t seem happy over two signings that weren’t his I believe.

Yes, with the gift of hindsight I bet he's really wishing he'd gone to Burnley after they sacked Sean Dyche. The who-ha about whether he was going or staying then seemed to put a question mark on his commitment to the Borer cause.

The horrible element in their fanbase will soon have another manager tasked with mission impossible to moan about. No chance of getting back to the Prem while they sell their best players at the end of every season.

Unambitious Chairman living off saving the club in 1986 and the move to the Riverside.
As for Wilder never took responsibility for the poor results. Always the referees or individual errors from the team HE selected.
Looks like a spell in league one.
That Maddo on bbc tees still reckons a play off place on.
Talk about rose tinted spectacles.

for me they are really what they are. a mid table championship club that will have good and bad seasons. doubt they,ll go down but really cannot see em making their holy grail of the premier league this season and in the future to make millions for failure when they go back down.

One of their fans on the Radio made a humorous comment recently about the borers, he said the occasional trips into the Premiership are OK but he expected relegation eventually and then enjoyed challenging for promotion, always something to look forward to.

Not fussed on managers who refer to the supporters as "Punters"

I totally understand that. In reality the highest league they are ever going to win is the championship so that pinnacle is the best they can hope for, plus the obvious fact that any sojourn into the prem does bear gifts. They have spent a hell of lot of time in the second tier in my lifetime and that is how I've always thought of them.

Trouble is, for all of my life, they have believed they deserve to be in the top flight, it’s a sort of Teesside mantra…the old up where we belong…how many clubs have deluded themselves and their fans with that little phrase.

...yep....that borer model of recruitment appears to be running into a spot of bother...borer radio pundits suggesting wilder has not had sufficient control over who comes in and goes out and wasn't happy about it...and must be an absolute nightmare for a manager to be told look you just do the coaching and leave the recruitment to the data analysis lads...just doesn't look as if its working out for them...shame...and apparently according to borer radio rob edwards would be an ideal fit cos he'll be happy with the borer model...is that right now?...

Wonder if he lost interest after the signings business… it must be annoying when some analyst is picking your players for you….and when the window closes, what do thees analysts do, migrate south till the winter break then migrate off again till the summer.
