It will be Chesterfield. And we have the "pleasure" of having Mansfield Town twice next season. Without really checking it would appear that The National League now has more ex football league teams in it than the rest. It would have been great if Wrexham had managed to pip Stockport County but they didn't. Thank F***K that Pools got out of that quicksand when they did because look at some of the clubs down there now. Neil Warnock ex Pools is being investigated by the FA for alleged illegal activity according to a former QPR player when he was manager. The Wild card has gone to Barrow and there will be no trips for Pools to Torquay or Exeter. Best news probably is York City on the way back.

great game..just shows what can be done if you have players who can pose an aerial threat in the opposition box...we don't have any unfortunately...

Just hope we get either chesterfield or grimsby back on our fixture list next season and not a team next to a car works.

Great game though.

Will the Wrexham owners now target DC as the way out of the oblivion league??? Fourteen years so far and counting. Number fifteen coming up. The fans must count a lot within their number that haven't seen them play in the football league. Imagine that being Pools. On second thoughts don't.

Got that wrong re: Chesterfield. Watch Wrexham's fans drift away after being given fools gold. They were so hyped up to take the place off trophy before a ball had been kicked. Sad in a way that they couldn't go up instead of that team in the NW.

Too many teams down there with too much money and they can’t all go up. Even ‘that team in the NW’ nearly tripped up, As for Wrexham if their support’s that good after fifteen years in the ‘maze’, I see no reason it should drift away now.
Personally I’d like to see it made into League 3 with two up automatically plus a playoff winner….it’s just a bottleneck at present.
….. and when all the proper team’s are back up and the Teflon teams are down, we’ll brick it up.

one thing all poolies can agree on was that we didn,t buy ourselves out of non league. makes our promotion so much sweeter. no fan can ever say we,d still be in oblivion if it wasn,t for the money.

Agree we did it with some class and without the cash -tough league next season for sure and ive said it countless times before but that will be even harder to get out of now - cant see Oldham or Scunny doing a Grimsby and getting into the Final but i dont think they will be near the bottom half - expect Southend to make a push for the top half and also Notts County to be up there again - Id put bets on Wrexham signing some more class players and actually finishing top next season - so long they dont have a wobble against the Dorkings and Gatesheads/York up have just come back up. Very interesting times and i shall be following the progress of our northern neighbours for sure.

Forget the cash, we had spirit and drive, we invited ourselves to the play off’s.
