The weather might effect the game or it might even be off but....

Pools 1 Sutton 0

I'll take 1-0's all day long even though they can be nail biting time.

Crowd 5,333 139 Sooty's.

I'll do Bluestreaks prediction later.

Agree on result but Sutton won't bring more than 58.

The Vic (Suit Direct) is back to being the Fortress of last season (look how that panned out ;)) So i think another fine display by our new winning formation !

Im honestly buzzing for this one - weather looks to be fine and the Storms have passed.

Only Storm this Saturday will be our Man Bogle knocking in a goal or two ! Im going Pools 2 - 0 Sutton. Grey & Mols

Grey is due a goal in this formation - hes up against the big lads but i think his pace will get him through on goal. This is were we need Bogles hold up play the most to come into affect.

My little lad and I travelling up for this one, so that's an extra 2 for the gate. Another nasty niggly gritty game. Sutton to score from a set piece, Bogle to equalise 1-1. Bovril, Fanta, pie and hot dog. 5432 gate.

A 0-0 thriller for 5400.

We owe Sutton one, or even two, so hope I'm wrong about the draw.

According to one user on the Amber planet forum, the train sutton were going to take has gotten cancelled. Seems the plan now is to get a coach instead.

Wouldn't usually make a big deal of this, but remember a few seasons ago Sutton's train getting delayed. Fortunately the game kicked off at 3, but I was hoping (vainly probably) that Sutton would already be up here.

Pitch will be heavy - will slow down the Sutton carthorses

Pools 2 Sutton 0 Bogle and Featherstone

5,463 (32 from Sutton - second minibus turned back at Watford Gap as it was getting too cold)

Pools win. GL breaks this hoodoo they have over us with a plan.
1-0.
One of the new signings near the end of the first half to score.

How's the weather been? Storm Eunice has been over-hyped by the Soft Southern Press!

Any chance of a postponement? Or of Sutton surrendering?

No chance of a postponement, it’s a bit nippy, but it’s traditional in February.

Been a bit of a bogey team in the past. However we spank them 4-0 today as they go down to 10.

Sloppy defending and a free header, nothing Killip could have done. Outplayed up to now. We seem to find it difficult to keep the ball at the moment.

The Town End looked full for a change, balanced by the Rink End being empty.

Strange game. Pools' play was really disjointed in the first half, took a while to get used to having 3 regulars out. It was panic stations at times, which never happened against Tranmere.

All the same, Sutton weren't that good. Killip had next to nothing to do over 90 minutes - 2 efforts on target and one of them was their goal! I thought we'd go on to win it after the equaliser but Pools really missed Grey's energy and movement up front. Lot of huffing and puffing from both teams but only the odd glimpse of quality.

Sutton are what is often referred to as ‘workmanlike’. Hard working, well organised when not in possession, but nothing flash. Can’t afford to start games sloppily and gift teams goals though. We should be beating teams like Sutton.

Good to take a point of a bogey team near the top of the table with a changed team

Oscar award for the match goes to Eastmond, their no. 15. The way he rolled around on the ground, he must have had his legs broken 4 times. A disgrace to regard himself as a footballer

Made hard work of a game we really should of been containing and winning. Panic stations is an understatement. We looked lost and totally out of control that first half. Was like watching the NL again. Sutton were not great at all. Tranmere came
Up here and played some fast attacking football which we controlled throughout. The 3 changes completely hampered everything yesterday. Sterry is the difference as ZFA got into the game eventually. Just lacking match sharpness. Shows how much we need a reserve LB though.
Great result though and happy to come out of this week with 4 points. Many others in this league wouldnt have.

Not sure Carver will be here past the end of the season either. I know he was a sub and had to try and get something off the big lads behind him but dear me his touch, positioning. All off. Need better off the bench for next season.

wonder how many other teams have said the same and got beat. like tranmere before them it shows you do not need to be worldbeaters in this league to get near the top. think many would have taken a point before the game started against a side that have always given pools problems. just think where pools could have been if the season had started with the present squad.

lack of time on the pitch would not have helped him but for me he is only a NL North player at the end of the day and always will be.

Yeh. It was a gamble a didnt think we needed to make. A panic buy it certainly was. But they must of seen enough of him to warrant bringing him in and hes keeping Fela and Cullen out the team. Fela for me has probs seen his time at pools as i think his contract is up end of season. Shame as he has great potential and would work well in our current top 3. Probs go on to have a glittering career in the NL id imagine.

I thought Feaths was off it yesterday too. Not his most prettiest of games. Morris again was contender for man of the match for me. Changed the game second half aswell as Crawfs.
