I was kind of hoping we would have had another body in before 5 bells. Looking unlikely just now. Reports in the mail saying we may have to look into the free market for the GK option (with some probable free agents already training with us by all accounts, which we already knew). \be interesting to know who they are.

Nothing else on the twitter whispers either.

tick tock....

Massive Premier league interest in Stockport players and staff.
These next 5 1/2 hours are going to be exciting.

Hendrie left by mutual consent. Never let us down when he played and seemed a good professional. Obviously he just wasn't fancied. Best of luck to him

Agree. Now that he's a free agent the likes of Scunthorpe or Oldham could do a lot worse than signing him.

Shocked by his departure tbh - thought he was always a good option to have - hopefully a replacement lined up as thats 2 CBs of the DC era we have got shot of this window !

also Young Cloughy from Carlisle has departed for a club oversees - would of had him at Pools, class on his day and better than this level in the right team.

Hendrie is a decent player but we were well covered in this position.

So outgoings I've got. Lawlor, burey, Daly, hendrie, Mitchell, Fondop, Jones and Godwin. Incomings Bogle, white, hull, Fletcher, carver. Is that a serious transfer window which bevington alluded to? More Lies unless we do proper late stuff ©

What are you on about...? Four loans go back and Lawlor to Darlington a while back. Burey and Daly called back by their clubs and Jones and Godwin don’t measure up obviously. Fondop was here, but that’s all.
So that’s eight out and five in...did you expect eight in to balance things up?
I’d rather have those five than those eight Burey and Daly apart, but pools had no say in those departures.
Define ‘Lies’ to me in this particular scenario.

After all this time needing a new keeper and we end up with some
19 year old. Another Mitchell. Be lucky to get a game unless hes the next Buffon.

What a disaster. So hopeless he has let 7 goals in under Lee's 8 game spell. Hardly a disaster.

Let’s see how things pan out eh? Killip seems to be improving by his recorded under Lee and the young lad may be a good keeper, the age is irrelevant.

smallhead.....i dont know which of your hilarious ideas i like the best......"the problem with Fondop was lack of condition."....mmmmmm...must say that takes some beating....but your delusion that our recent improved defensive displays can be attributed in any way to killip...well that runs it pretty close...at fault for both goals against charlton...nothing new there im afraid.....he is consistently poor and there will be more and more to come...guarantee it...can only assume spike has tried to get an experienced keeper in... but failed for one reason or another...just hope killip doesnt crumble against palace...big big worry.... feel sick just thinking about it tbh...:puke-front:

I’ll reply even though by this stage it’s clear you are on a wind up and desperate for bites. None of the players who have left were first team regulars. Only Daly played a good amount of games but he only played well in the cup. I think 5 of the 7 signings could be in the first 11 so on paper it looks a brilliant transfer window for us.

could be a briilliant bit of business pools have done but i,ll reserve judgement till i have actually seen these lads for a full game. the only ones i did know about were bogle and carver. the only problem with january signings is the lack of time players have to settle and more or less have to be up and running nearly straight away. no pre season like summer signings.

Results will define how brilliant the window has been.
Confident we can finish the season with a respectable mid table finish n papajohns trophy in the cabinet.
Shud b enuf money in the pot to get a grip of some good out of contract players in the summer window.
Thats when u have to hit u targets ASAP even if it means paying a few xtra weeks wages.
UTP.

To be fair he did say ‘looks like a brilliant transfer window’ and not ‘ will be a brilliant transfer window’. Big difference.

All in all a really good window for Pools in January - hell we have sat here before and no one came through the door.

Hopefully our new Ozzy import is here to challenge for the No.1 spot and not just be another Mitchell. He was on the cusp of the Huddersfield first team by all accounts and seems to be inline for the Ozzy national team No.1 spot too so we will see.

Bryn Morris will be a nice to have in the side - strong tackling midfielder which i feel we have missed. Just needs some game time now. Im hoping hes one of them players who comes into the side and has the same impact Tshibola had, the type you hope we sign at the end of the season.

The fact we let Hendrie go for free then get snapped up by Bradford ? could we not have wagered a deal an got some cash for him. Weird one that one.

some very interesting signings throughout yesterday in L2 - none so more odd than Longstaff to Mansfield. He will turn their season around for sure as hes class for this level.
Carlisle seemed to add some tasty additions into their side also with Tobi Sho-Silva coming in from Sutton - good player on his day.

Don't know why it hasn't posted my comment !
What I meant to say was from Lee's post deadline chat with Chandy, it sounds as if Hendrie asked to be released from his contract and subsequently signed for Bradford.

its not all about keeping clean sheets that show how good or bad a keeper is. with a bad defence infront of you it can be similar to being a coconut at the fairground. even when pools do keep a clean sheet there is something about killip that gives me the shits everytime the opposition gets close to our goal. as with all pools players i want him to do well but for me it aint happening.

A good point. I think there is also an argument that our goal scoring has more or less dried up because we are too concerned with protecting Killip. Just a thought.

The resurgence of Odusina into 90s Cafu has helped Killip ten fold. The dodgy outfield antics he gambles with plus short passes to marked defenders is what is worrying us fans the most. The fact Killip has seen through Turnbull - Dimi as GK coaches and still yet to improve that much is worrying for me. Just too many mistakes in the lad still to warrant that No.1 shirt for me in a team that i feel now will push on up the table.

Signing Morris has me thinking Holohan may go sooner rather than later also.

as for Hendrie .. yeh just caught up on the gaffers post deadline day presser with Chandy - fair enough the lad wanted game time and obviously had it in his back pocket to go elsewhere - i didnt think you could just terminate your own contract though and then hop off to another club free of charge ? Surely there is compo in that for us somewhere - unless he was on a pay as you play / appearance contract ?

actually could have been a game changer as i heard the half time revue of the game on radio lancashire. they said it was just a matter of time before burnley wrapped the game up due to huddersfields dodgy panic ridden defence.
