2-0 to the Grecians. Just too bloody far to travel. Some stiff legs and below par performances all round. Solid defence keeps the score respectable. No shots on target from Pools. Exeter are pretty decent side and too much for Pools on the day.

2-1 loss. Cullen getting ours. Hopefully not another game like this one though:

That was a miserable season if I remember rightly. Got better after though.

Exeter 1-2 Pools. Bogle, Featherstone

New signings and form of cup players should make players work to keep their places.

Wasn't there a game down there years ago where Pools were winning 2-0 and lost 3-2 after two sendings off including Keith (Houchen) and a dubious penalty decision and all at the end of the game? Said we would lose 0-3 but now feel more optimistic. 1-0 Pools. The man Bogle of course.

Paul Stephenson was a really good player brought on in th 89th minute.

Whatever happens today Pools will be climbing the table soon enough.

I'll go for a 1-1 draw assuming everyone is on their mettle. With all the new signings only Killip's place is safe - for now.

In 1914 Exeter played the Brazil national team whilst on a tour of South America.
Has Pools ever done anything like that? sctatchinghead

Been the better team, Featherstone just sent off though for a high challenge. Should have just been a yellow in my opinion.

Defended really well for the last 20 mins. Very impressed with Bogle.
Great team performance - lidds and Timi keeping us safe once again. Timi has turned that corner again and is playing immense. Okay few dodgy moments but deffo made up for them with some great defending. Sterry unreal once again. Would of won that should Feaths nor got sent off. Unlucky but very glad to have taken a point. Played some good stuff again ! Bogle will score plenty in this team !

We never really looked like scoring but defended like trojans.
Good point at the end of the day.
When we drew Palace in the facup thort it was an instant exit.
But now theres a glimmer of hope.

First half we were top class, just lacking the final ball.

Featherstone red is a game changer and now makes a very winnable game , a solid point in the end.

Ps Mr Gloves - let me assure you, a team full of internationals, managed by Viera… we stand little chance on Saturday! But I admire your faith

Crystal Palace are the street fighters of the Premiership and have plenty up front so an upset is highly unlikely. I just hope that we give them a good game and not lose badly.

Agree - want to leave Selhurst with dignity and respect - as that is what is deserved by the many Poolies

Alas - no Featherstone unless Pools decide to appeal.... and how often has that worked for us ?
Gutted for him, but might work in our favour if the other lad lift their games to compensate.

“Never looked like scoring” oh dear.

We were the team that looked like scoring.
Palace will be a good day out for all.

We were the best side in the first half. The Featherstone challenge was a yellow at worst but the ref was weird and made some strange card decisions. Very happy with the point in the end

Bogle and Mols should of both scored tbh. We had bags of life in the first half and most the possession. Card changed the game.

White will come in place of feaths or Crawford in a different setup midfield. Holohan needs to start against Palace aswell.

Great point that being down to 10 against a good team, hope we do ourselves justice at palace and give them a decent game.

Spike is making us very difficult to beat, without being ultra defensive.

All games under him...

If this incorrect i,m sure one of you gentlemen will tell me.

It should be no surprise that our new manager and his assistant are improving us collectively and individuals in defence but we still looked goal shy.

Bogle will help but we either need a very fast striker to stick with the 532 or a couple of wingers and go 443.

Molyneux just doesn’t work up top. He works hard but his positioning and link up play is dreadful

"We still look goal shy?" A sensible person might reserve judgement on that till the new lads have had the benefit of a week or two training with the rest of the squad.

What's next, criticise the defence because Crystal Palace score a few goals against us?

Well if they’re avoidable goals or mistakes…. Then yeah?

there is a good possibility of every single goal scored being avoidable. a few years back i heard a manager slating a forward player who lost possesion in his opponents half that ended up with them conceeding not on the same move but a few minutes after.
