I have no real interest either way in this matter but it seems to be rambling on whilst, I have no doubt, lawyers are milking it dry.
She says he's guilty, he says he's innocent. If he is found guilty he wants the book throwing at him but if he is innocent he sure has had this hanging over him for some time and I've got to say it must be a living nightmare for the bloke.
He will always have it hanging over him and already people are deserting him because they don't want associating with the stigma.
Not nice, no matter who he is.
I'm glad I haven't had the ordeal.
I keep going back to the picture where she doesn't appear to be the subject of abuse as far as I can see.
And that American lawyer who keeps saying it's just not the money........yeah right. I've heard that somewhere before.

Funny one this, so while they’re after him will they be pulling more names in....?
I reckon he’ll have no chance with a US jury, they’re just USA all the way.

I can't speak for him as I'm not sufficiently in the loop, therefore I am unable to answer your question. Only he or his legal team are in the position to give an explanation for you. Good luck with your quest to get a satisfactory answer.

My naval friends who served with him are universally of the view that he was an arrogant and privileged arsehole. There's a story of him joining a ship as a junior officer and being introduced to the captain.

Hello, I'm HRH Prince Andrew, Duke of York but you can call me Andrew.
The captain responded: I'm the Ships Captain, your boss and you can call me Sir!

As for his claim of a lack of ability to sweat due to service in the Falklands War I can tell you that it's a standing joke and treated with derision amongst the South Atlantic veterans community and we're generally ashamed to have him as a member.

the only thing i do not like on this matter is that at the moment many seem to find him guilty and he has not been tried yet. striped of things before a trial is never on no matter what we think of him or the royal family.

It is a civil case not a criminal case so there is not even the threat of jail.

On top of that 90% of civil cases are settled out of court. He doesn't even have to attend.

Really, well that is interesting. I'm very flattered that you've read all my posts, which you would have to do to determine the worst but on top of that, having read all of my posts, you will have adjudged the best one. I am curious as to which is your favourite.

Some times, I look at cases like this in a tired but sharply cynical way and think everyone involved has some degree of involvement.
If there was no financial reward and only a decision in favour of the claimant without financial gain, would this be happening.
It’s never about a moral victory.

This case has revealed nothing. Just what is the purpose, someone agrees to a settlement so can assume something happened, but what.....?
It settles nothing and answers nothing.

The vast majority of civil cases get settled out of court. Don't quote me but I think it is over 90%.
The biggest winners are the lawyers, as always.
As the Queen, HM will distance herself from the issue but as a Mum she will put her hand in her purse if her son needs it.
There is a frenzy of speculation from the media as usual but I think most people have had their fill of the whole sorry saga.
Most of us have the stigma of not being able to keep it in our pants and these people are no different.
A standing cock has no conscience is the cry.

Are we witnessing the decline of the Royal family?
When the Queen pops off its a right motley crew left.

Possibly. There will be a clamouring for the monarchy to go after she passes away.

The Royals have been a motley crew more often than not throughout history. QE2's uncle Edward (VIII), the Nazi sympathiser...Viccy's son Edward (VII), the playboy prince - bet he had more Virginia Robertses than pitmen had hot dinners...

And it's very tough on Prince Charles being investigated about cash for honours. The monarchy has been selling titles since William the Conqueror's day

A greatly reduced size of "Royal" family would be welcome by most I think.
What we have now has no place in a modern world. It needs to change.....big style.

there always was and even with the complete sectecy about them more comes out nowadays about them that we would never have heard 50 years ago. freedom of information certainly stops at the gates of buck house and really we know very little indeed apart from their good side. even now i imagine those royal correspondants and the monarchy lovers will be putting their spin on the whole affairs and bow and scrape to them all.

A republic doesn't have to go down the route of allowing senior politicians to become president, and whether they're hated or not also depends on the powers the role has.

The great Czech writer Vaclav Havel was a brilliant first president of democratic Czechoslovakia and manged to steer the country through the amicable break up into the Czech and Slovak republics.

The Irish presidency was depoliticised while Mary Robinson was president and has been pretty popular and uncontroversial since. Their current president is a poet and former Minister of the Arts.

Mind you, neither of those countries had a monarchy to get rid of. The Windsors are safe for the forseeable - though there'll be trouble when Charles becomes king as loads of people would like him to stand aside for celebrity Aston Villa supporter William.

I appreciate that and I am aware of the fact, but given politics in this country they’d be expecting a US style President. It’s politics after all so call me a cynic.

Still a political animal after being a leader of those opposing the Communists running the the country. A good man no doubt, but a politician of sorts at heart
Mind you, neither of those countries had a monarchy to get rid of..
They got rid of theirs after the after the First World War and replaced them with a rather decent little operating democracy, unfortunately their neighbours did so too with disastrous results all round. I always think boring, benign politics has it’s merits.

Well his ship has certainly sailed now. All i do know is that nowadays i,m not the only republican in the village that i was back in the early 60,s at grammar school. Plenty are not but their love of royalty has certainly wained over the years where the only thing that really keeps em going is tradition and the fear of a politically appointed president who really would have no more power than a present PM has.

First of all the "12 million" is a figure plucked out of the air by the Daily Telegraph.
Second, whatever the figure is it certainly won't be going into the woman's purse, as the bulk of it will be going to lawyers.
Thirdly, what is loosely termed as a substantial amount is allocated to the woman's charity which she set up to fund the victims of sexual abuse.
And fourthly, no one knows who will be funding the settlement as it doesn't appear to be coming from Andy's arse pocket.
So I would urge you to steer clear my friend but should you be successful can I be the first to say gizzabit.

I noticed people in the States talking about books, documentary and films. If there’s a non disclosure, what will they be about....rather like a wildlife documentary using soft toy animals.
