Wanted to get some psychobilly for years but have never really heard anything except The Meteors and some obvious Stray Cats singles when they got in the charts.
Anyone give me any tips? Kint Kurt? Guana Batz? Any good? Pile of shite?
A top quality compilation would be a good starter if anyone knows of one...

And if muttley is around and has those ska websites he gave me ages ago that would be good cos I sort of lost them :sweeeet:

or this

Good man. Just bought the first compilation. God one click is so easy, especially after a couple of whiskies.
Got that and the album by Gallows, who Observer Music reckon to be the eighth best gig to catch this year, a punk band that Kerrang (!!??) reckon to be the most important UK punk band since The Clash. They're playing Leeds Festival so hopefully the album will be a good one and I can have a good old drink and jump around.

Swinging Medallions
Standells
Strangeloves
The Sonics

Aw bloody hell. Right hold on then, I'm just off to Amazon again. Heard Count Five and Elevators before, about 15 years ago but was constantly stoned at the time...

checked and replied Mr Crimes thank you.
Oh and I seriously dont fall for the best band for the Clash thing (and who could really claim to be the best "punk" band since The Clash...that lowers the options even further. But the write up was very good, live and on record, and I trust Observer Music plenty, much more than the NME or Q or any other music magazine. Still, time will tell.

Am I the only one on here who, apart from ADG going on about them, was blissfully unaware of the 'greatness' of The Clash? Apart from London Calling, Rock the Kasbah and I fought the Law they are completely anonymous to me.
