A free agent on his day one of pools better wingers, problem was his ego and attitude prior to him leaving. Probably a better option than Cal Roberts considering his injury record.

wingers are not a priority anyway. keeper, central defender and central midfielder and a big lad up front are.

totally agree - this would be the nice to have player signing for us on deadline day to prop the forward line up once we secure the following:

- League 2 standard GK (Ideally a Championship 3rd choice on Loan)
- CB (big strong experienced who can direct the back line - bit of pace wouldnt go a miss too)
- CDM / CM (box to box who can get into the mix with set pieces)
- FW (Luke Armstrong kind of fella with goals in him)

I agree Eiphos but its like a christmas list and all we end up with is a Terrys Chocolate Orange and a pair of socks.

the harsh reality of it ... you aint wrong Bluestreak :(.

even a decent CB - good midfielder with a range of passing box to box etc and a strike partner for Cullen. Its a starter and certainly would see us get to the end of the season mid table !

(see Carlisle just signed another decent forward player aswell on loan from Burton Albion)

I think now after the win over Blackpool (and if we get a good draw next) your original list should be financially deliverable but i just wonder if there is some agreement that these windfall monies are directed to paying of loans etc.
Only time will tell.

But which Nathan would we get?
The ‘I’m back and raring to go just like before’ or........’ hmmm .....Pools?..... well, any port in a storm’.

A very good point. He is a few years older and may well have lost some of his pace due to injuries and the onset of time. Has he trained with Pools? Has Lee seen him in action up close recently? Interesting to see if anything materializes.

Interesting if he was actually at the game.
But this sometimes accounts for nothing.

Seen a few faces at the vic start of the season and they never signed. One being JJ Hooper.

Thomas was a canny player in a godawful Pools side. That said I wouldn't say no to him, but I wouldn't break the bank trying to recruit him either.

Chances are with him been local and not getting much interest, we could pick him up risk free on a low wage ala Luke Williams.

I see that he has signed for York City until January, after being away from the game for some time.

that would give us enough time to watch him and see where he is at now.

true, but he could still train with us or any other league club. not bothered anyway if i never saw him in a pools shirt again as on a good day he is a national league player at best.

Kitching…no thanks. Challinor gave him a free… and he’s parted company again with him

Now signed for Oldham on a 2 & a half year deal. An Oldham supporting mate of mine asked " any good ? " Tried to let him down gently !

I always found disappointing how the leggy lad would gallop forward at speed with the ball, get into good position near their box and then make a complete balls up of the advantage he’d created. It was my only outstanding memory of him, his trademark realisation how he’d got up the pitch then forgot what to do at the vital moment.

lot depends on which kitching they will get. the one who improved under challinor or the old one or the present one who lost his pace a little. anyway its saved us signing another possible crock after a bad back injury.

Truth is, Kitching turned down Challinor's offer of a new contract with Pools to join moneybags Stockport - who'd a thunk anyone would do something like that?

He's NL level at best, especially after his injury. Nice long deal from Oldham for the lad.

Challinor is only human and might have not fully forgot or forgiven him for turning down pools offer and then leave. Know i would and he,d have to do more than others to secure a start in the side. other managers have a downer on players for less.
