Anyone remember that horse racing game / machine from way back when, i think it might have been called 'Grand National'.
You had to bet on a nag, (When it said in a quite disturbing / Stephen Hawking like way "Place Your Bets Now Please") white won you ten pence, i think blue got you twenty, and the top prize was the princely sum of about eighty pence if the pink horse won (which it never did!!)

I MUST find this arcade machine to prove to Mrs Bandage that it wasnt a fragment of my, admittedly, quite bizarre imagination!

We must have trawled every gaming arcade in Berwick (which is itself a quite extraordinary place, a bit like Balamory off of the telly) over the weekend, and couldnt find it anywhere.

Your help in this important matter is greatly appreciated!!

There was a pinball machine in the arcade next to the Marine called The Doozie. You couldn't prise me off it for about two years. I bet I've still got the highest score on it. :sweeeet: :sweeeet: :sweeeet:

There is still nothing more evocative than the 'clack' noise when you win a replay.

I'm pretty sure Las Vegas amusements still has the Grand National machine in. It's like a time capsule that place, still got loads of 'Tuppeny Nudgers' (steady now Cornelius!) and Bar X gamblies from the eighties.

I like them Tuppeny Nudgers, Bridlingtons crammed with them, well it's crammed with everything for pensioners and the old dears can have a go in between Bingo games. Just make sure that when you have a go you aren't standing in a puddle of piss.

Yeah, I think there's one at the arcades in Seaton. Haven't been down with the kids for a while but I'm pretty sure there is one.
