Was the loaning of Bennett a shrewd tactical move by Stockport?

Head 4-0 Stockport

Heart 3-2 Pools

We have to stop their midfield so i think dc will play angol lb drop holohan and play ferguson left side midfield that would also stop msh bombing down the wing.

County 1 Pools 3

I've had a little hunch about a Notts County - Pools final for a while now, but it's probably wishful thinking - my mate who's a County fan knows we've had the drop on them for the last couple of seasons!

I have the same hunch.
If it does happen I hope they play their high line offside trap like they did against Chesterfield. In which case Oates will murder them like Tyson should have done.

Would imagine it will be difficult for umpire Michael Gough tomorrow as he's teams playing in their biggest game of the season he's stood in the middle of the wicket at Edgbaston pointing his finger at lbw decisions, will be racing off at lunch to catch the score no doubt.

Dodgy penalty to put the game out of Notts County's reach and possible offside not given for Torquay's opener.

Add it to stuff earlier in the season like a Torquay winner in the 98th minute when only 3 minutes of injury time were given and you wonder if whoever wins tomorrow may be playing the ref as well as Torquay down in Brissel in a week's time.

Would like to see us win after a great season all in all. Restored faith. Fingers crossed we get to the final coz if we can make it I fancy us to beat Torquay.

Just getting my conspiracy theories in early. Torquay are one of those clubs nobody seems to dislike, except Exeter fans. They're like Bournemouth, a good away trip if nothing else.

A Bristol playoff final involving to Torquay does reek though. It'd be like us having a playoff final at Berwick Rangers, think I'd rather visit Shielfield Park than Delboy's apartment Gate as well!

Off to the pub in 10 minutes to watch the game and hope to be back on here in a few hours congratulating the players on a great performance regardless of the outcome.

HT and so far so good. If Pools get their noses in front, Francis-Angol will be on pretty quick to try to stop Southam-Hales bombing down the wing.

If we can get Sterry & Ferguson to make their usual runs, & turn the defence, this could be ours

Should have had a penalty early on in the second half too, but maybe it was better to have the game go long before we scored. Once Pools are in front that's it for the opposition.

Rhys Oates. I always loved him Featherstone outstanding. Great team performance. Great save from the keeper. The best team won.

Brad James actually made two great saves, so well done to the lad. Richardson is about the best Ref outside of the league for me, made all the right decisions, very calm.

The perfect performance. Stone wall penalty not given and James never put a foot wrong, gives me confidence we can win the next one. UTP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. even Odusina played well apart from the one dodgy moment.

Well done on the win thought you would win today. Sets up a cracking game next weekend.

Our game was excellent two good sides going for it. Notts defence has been pants for months and the forwards getting them into the playoffs. Danny Wright was back and played well. Yes ever a penalty but we were winning at the time not as if it was 2 each.

See you next sunday
