It's almost unimaginable that Ray Clemence fought advanced prostate cancer for 15 years. That he should pass away in 202 is very sad, but as his wife says, ""After fighting so hard, for such a long time, he's now at peace and in no more pain." RIP Ray.

For all Ray Clemence was a great keeper, my abiding memory of him, is the time he let the ball go through his legs during a Scotland v England game in 1976

not just in the top leagues in this country but right down to div.4. mid 60,s and the 70,s were a great era from english keepers.

Even the average ones like Ian McFaul, probably better than Jordan Pickford.

Likes of Parkes, Day, Corrigan, etc couldnt get into England team but better than current crop of England keepers.
