I can't get my head round why the british companys get their products made in China boosting their economy and making them a richer country when there is no reason why we can't employ our own unemployed to do the work.

I know it's because they can be made cheaper in China but I'd be happy to pay the increased price to be paying a British worker and get 100's of thousands of people into work, surely it would be better for our economy especially as we are no longer in the E.U.

" Made in Britain " lets get those labels back.

you might be but 1,000,s of people just have to buy the cheapest thing that is available as they just have not the money to do otherwise. the future may get even worse when all the redundancies kick in, and some may struggle to afford pound shops shortly.

Problem is, most British people would rather buy products made in China, and sod their next door neighbour who is on the dole. They may also own stocks and shares in the company outsourcing work to China.

Sadly the British worker wants too much, a decent wage so to speak. Mind you in a couple of decades time, they may bring the work back , as our low paid, non unionised, totally kicked about from pillar to post workforce become cheaper than the Chinese worker.

Nothing to do with the China/Britain trade agreements then.

Just like the ones the Trump administration were signing while he was slagging off Hauwei.

Politicians eh, would you believe it.

doubt there are many that look at labels to see the country of origin on them and then deliberatly ignore a british product. more like they will be like me and just buy something and then find out where its actually made. its back to the armani jacket thing again. mine was not italian made but chinese.
