Watching the second match now. Notts County have just gone ahead. I’m struck by the thought that the pubs near the ground will be showing the match and full to their current capacity. However, the outdoor stadium has to be kept empty. I’m looking forward to being able to go to events again because it just seems nuts to have that kind of contradiction.

As for the first match, will Harrogate be able to get a new pitch in place before October?

Harrogate and Notts County in the final then - the teams that were second and third when the season was brought to an end. Seems only fair.

On balance I hope County win - much as I hate Harrogate's plastic pitch, and I bet they stick with it next season if they don't go up! County would be red hot favourites to win the division next season if they miss out now - they could have the neck of 7,000 fans in even on a third of ground capacity.

actually think if notts county get promoted they could do a lincoln or luton. for me county have always been a club for proper fans in the city without the glory hunting forest types. feel the same way where bristol rovers are concerned as well.
