Some hate the government and some support the government but does it really need to be underlined with every post?

They're very reasonable sentiments Mr I but a no abuse rule has to work all ways and be applied fairly. Derwent's post deletions and attempts to ban people weren't to do with abuse they were just people he was pissed off with.

I looked at the deletions Mr T, all included some insult one way or another. That said it’s not the normal way of things to delete or edit but then some of the recent posts haven’t been either. It’s been like Brexit times ten.

I’ve opened a mod room for discussion between mods for balance before deletions in future.

He opposed deleting his nephew's posts when he was calling people not nice people left right and centre and threatening violence. There's also been all manner of homophobic and racist stuff left on here because you and others champion free speech. Suddenly a few comparatively moderate insults get you banned or deleted as long as you're also critical of current government policy. Derwent needs to admit he got carried away, no need for apologies in the current climate but it is obvious what was going on and that it was wrong. Worth bearing in mind that Monty, no lefty and a free speech stalwart, gave up his Mod position although helooks to be back now.
