Josh Laurant and Brad Walker put Shrewsbury through in the cup. Both league one standard players it seems.

They scored a goal. I’ve seen lots of players at Pools ‘score a goal’, but some of them weren’t even Sunday League standard. They scored a goal.

I noticed Motherwell seem to like recruiting ex poolies, Hartley, Donnelly, Carson and Carroll all now play for them.

I learnt the hard way, passing the 11 plus introduced me to a system where the strap sharpened your desire to avoid mistakes.
