Mutters, I am not going to contradict you but will you do me and yourself a favour. Will you frame a copy of your post and hang it above the mantelpiece if Corbyn gets in.
Then we'll discuss it in five years time or more probably before that.
Cheers mate and all the best. F.

Three things:

That was the most biased audience on QT ever? Who picked it, momentum?
That aside Corbyn presenter his policies well, a shame they are fiscally nonsense.
Jo Swinson has fantastic tits.

It’s all scenery anyway, this election has no floating voters. Corbyn could turn up in an IRA outfit and his supporters would still vote for him. Boris could advocate gas chamber for foreigners and not lose a vote and Jo Swinson’s best bet is to go on there topless.

Thought Corbyn and Sturgeon looked competent but Johnson was an absolute disgrace. Couldn't wait till Ant and Dec was on.
I do agree with the points about Swinson.

Last night Corbyn displayed his absolute lack of leadership by proudly announcing he would stay neutral on brexit, which is another way of announcing he is sitting on the fence.........hopefully it is a barbed wire one.
He says he wants to negotiate a better brexit deal and promises he'll have this deal done in three months but stays neutral on whether to support or promote this deal.........his deal.
He obviously agrees with me..............he has as much confidence in himself as I have in him.

You can't have it both ways. Previously you've described Corbyn as like Stalin; presumably you mean he tries to rule with an iron fist. Perhaps, just perhaps, Corbyn has a fudged line on Brexit because he recognises that his party is split on this (just like the tories) and the country is split on this. Calling for another referendum, in these circumstances, just might, I don't know, be democratic, consultative etc. But no, he wouldn't do that as, according to you, he's a marxist, not a social democrat.

 For a change the audience wasn't biased but evenly balanced. Showed what can be achieved when its a level playing field, Johnson was toast , absolute clown.

So a referendum on staying in or pretendy staying in (common market, EU laws, freedom of movement etc.) would be democratic? I disagree.

Being democratic would be implementing the result of the referendum that they’ve already had and which all of the main political parties pledged to do in the 2017 election. Anything else, whether you voted leave or remain, cannot be dressed up as democratic however smart you think you’re putting it and / or how stupid you believe the people that you’re trying to convince are.

The government have had three and a half years to implement the result of the first referendum. They have failed. What do we do? It’s like a paralysis hanging over the country something has to change. Given the whole mess was created by this current government and one of the key players in the leave campaign was the current Prime Minister as well. It’s staggering what the Tories are getting away with.

It's been an undeliverable fantasy from day one.

Fireball called it on here before the referendum, said it we tried to leave it would be pretty much impossible because of all the laws and regulations.

If it was going to be as easy as Farage and the others said, we'd have been out 2 years by now.

Well given it was a Tory Prime Minister that called the referendum in the first place, a Tory government have been in place since and failed to implement the result then yes I believe it to be true based on facts.

When you disagree it’s better to say why I find to add balance. What have I said that was isn’t true. Making this election about Brexit is all Johnson has, it’s a convenient distraction from the absolute shambles this government have presided over but people are forgetting and being coerced into forgetting who actually caused this mess.

True MR PJ.

The failure of the Labour and Lib Dem MPs to honour their manifesto pledges and implement the result of the referendum was all the fault of a prime minister who has only been in the post for a couple of months.

Momentum must be rubbing their hands at the unbelievable naivety of people who actually believe this shit.

Very eloquent and factual, Mr Ripper and straight to the point.
But you may find it difficult getting your point across to people who are sat on a bus, thinking it's a train and claiming to be zero tolerant of racism and then proposing to vote for a party which has racism within it's domain. a party which is led by a guy who claims to be decisive and who's biggest decision of late is to be non decisive.
It is now becoming abundantly clear why Corbyn has not been entrusted, by any previous leader or labour prime minister, with high office or shadow high office.
What should we do today, minister????/ Let's be neutral came the reply.
Or imagine he was defence or foreign secretary. Sir we're being attacked, Oh sorry came the reply, I'm going to be neutral on that one. And people on here want him to be in overall control, in charge of the country, responsible for defending the country!!!!!!!!!!
Even i couldn't make that one up and I'm supposed to be famous for it, an award winner no less.

Except of course it's taken that long to implement that the electoral roll has changed markedly since then. And remember it was this result that suddenly got the youth engaged.

So you want a result based on lies and fake promises to stand from more than 3 years ago even though many people warned it could never be implemented that easily. And you call this democracy?

You dont vote in a general election then wait 3 years to put the winners in power do you?

Do you have any examples of this Labour racism or Corbyn being racist?

You know using things like facts and evidence?

So procrastination by dishonest MPs is now a legitimate tactic to frustrate a democratic process? And you accuse Johnson of being dishonest? You couldn’t make this shit up.

Facts and evidence MR PJ?

Are they always relevant or only when people are not toeing the hard left line on here? The amount of left wing / socialist / fantasyland political statements that have been made on here without any facts to support them in the last week is enough to melt the internet.

Well a guy called PJ Poolie told me there was anti semitism in the labour party but then dismissed it as tiny. The same guy who preaches zero tolerance on racism.
Corbyn has admitted there is anti-semitism in the party but has failed to root it out.
As it is so tiny (your words) he ought to be able to deal with it.
Maybe he is neutral on the subject, blinkered like you, or maybe dismissing it like you, or being tactical like you.
If you want to get off the bus you have to ring the bell but if you wait until it is near the railway station you can get back on the train without straining your little legs.

They weren’t my words I posted an article that expressed that view. Even if that assertion is correct if doesn’t make Corbyn or the Labour Party racist.

I don’t or haven’t preached anything either. I got criticism by some on here for saying I don’t have the answers on a complex issue. That doesn’t fit your ranting agenda though.

Boris Johnson himself voted for Mays deal with public regret comparing it to a “suicide vest around the British constitution” His words.

Now he’s wanting to get through a copy and paste and expecting to people to back something even he didn’t. All of it is self preservation and self interest as it has been in this mess from day one.

It would be staggering, Phil if it were true.

Can you name anybody in that category.
You can't use one set of racists to excuse another set.
Nor can you assume that because someone is against one lot that makes him a supporter of another lot.
Not unless you are a hypocrite, which I'm sure you are not.

So are you saying racism is ok in the labour party or any party and it's ok to vote for a party with racist history cos, their rivals are worse. That's the bit that is batshit bonkers regardless of how it's dressed up
And whilst you are here can you explain your claim that he starts every sentence with........etc etc
There is not a man on this planet who starts every sentence with exactly the same words, so to whom are you referring or is that also batshit bonkers.
Just curious like.

I will practice what i preach though and not vote for a racist party unlike some on here who promote zero tolerance for racism and then support a party known for racism, however they justify it.

Not one commentator asks any tory one simple question and that is will the uk be better or worse off with this brexit deal or remaining. It's a simple question and the answer is worse off. There isn't an economist anywhere that says differently. So everyone that voted for brexit accepts their life financially will be poorer. It is the most authentic case of turkeys voting for christmas ever.

Why have all the brexit supporters moved the goal posts. Getting a deal would be easy, they said. Etc etc etc. All the information from the leave campaign made it clear that a hard brexit was never part of the plan. Years down the line, and we're told that brexit means something different from what was said at the time.

As for 'democratic', democracy should never be reduced to simply casting a vote; that'll just lead to plutocracy. There has to be some means of scrutinising the political process that results from any vote. That's not 'anti-democratic'. It's actually the opposite, as long as any process is fully participatory.

That is very refreshing Mr Madjohn and answers my question perfectly. Thank you for that.
As you know I am not into the music scene as much as you are and can just about write the lyrics to God save the queen, such is my prowess. You will note that I hardly, if ever, join in on music threads, although I joined in on the recent one asking for least favourite song, which is fairly easy.
I remember your previous one about going to jail or summat but wasn't aware of the song or its origin.
Please excuse my ignorance but that's what prompted my question and you've answered it. it just didn't make sense to me but now it does.
In pub quizzes I get invited into teams because of sport but never for music, apart from sixties stuff. i can usually have a crack at that.
I find it difficult with racism, especially when something I am used to hearing and saying which was the norm and acceptable, suddenly isn't.
When i'm told I try and respond.
Habits die hard. I still say ten bob.

The lyric about the jail was from a spoken word piece of creepy paranoia from Tom Waits called What's He Building? It's a hoot on the karaoke.

I still say ten bob too :)

I love that Tom Waits track. Reminds me of an ex neighbour; he was a builder who never finished his DIY projects. 'What's he building in there', was a constant joke in our household!
